Manifesting From the Top!

Ken’s story:I was fortunate to sell my house at a fair price. The buyer and I were both happy with the arrangement, and we set a closing date that gave plenty of time to handle the complexities of moving from one place to another. I was headed to another city, some hours away, and into a smaller place. My plan for the extra furniture kept shifting, and I finally settled on a storage unit at the new location. I’d figure out how to sell off the pieces I didn’t need once I got there. There were so many details, big and small, but eventually everything was worked out, and the move was set for the following day. Shortly after the house was cleared of furniture, the final closing would take place the day after that. Everything was in place, and I was looking forward to living in a completely different environment, and all that would come with it. I’ve moved enough times to know you can’t plan for everything. You just step through the unexpected until you reach wherever you’re going. I’d hired a competent, professional moving team, and they kept the whole thing light. No drudgery. Now it is moving day and the movers were set to arrive at 11 o’clock. At 10 o’clock that same morning, something most unusual happened: the place I was scheduled to move into was no longer available. And that was that. I’m not usually one to panic. But with an hour before the movers were due to show up and clear out the house, there was nowhere for me, or the furniture, to go. The next looming problem, an expensive one, was closing on the house so the new buyer could take occupancy the following day. If I missed that deadline, there would surely be penalties due him, and surely,  other cascading, uncomfortable problems would spiral out from there. I was now in a situation well outside my control. The first thing I did was call the movers and tell them the move was off, that I’d have to reschedule for some unknown future date. They told me there would be a penalty to turn them around, since the truck and the full crew were already en route. I agreed to the penalty, got off the phone and sat down. I know a fair amount about manifesting, since I’m the guy who wrote the book. So there I was, trying to get a handle on the situation as best I could. The first thing I did was manifest a clean, simple solution: “I’m in my future, and in my future, this house sale and move came together beautifully, for both me and the new buyer.” Okay. That was done. Now I had twenty four hours until tomorrow’s closing, when I’d hand over the keys to a house that, at this moment, was still full of furniture and all of my personal belongings. Tick, tick, tick. Now what? I didn’t want to give in to the fear of the situation, but it felt like the walls were closing in. What do you do with fear? You take action on it. So I made a move and called Judy Goodman. She is a big part of the information behind Manifesting 1,2,3 and you don’t need #3. I was glad she picked up. It was a quick call. I gave her the short version, clean and clear, and she said something loud and fast that I’d never heard her say before: “Tell God to take care of it, right now,” and hung up. I could hear her words echoing in my head, and honestly, I can still hear them now, years later. So I did exactly what she said, just as loudly, standing right there in my living room: “God, I want you to take care of this, right now.” Then I sat down and waited. My mind went completely blank for what felt like forever, probably two or three minutes. Then it hit me: I needed to call the buyer and let him know what was going on. Fortunately, he picked up, and I explained the situation. He asked a couple of clarifying questions, then said without hesitation, “Well, that’s good news, actually. I haven’t sold my own house yet, and given the choice, I’d rather not carry two mortgage payments. Why don’t we just push our closing back? Would sixty or ninety days work for you?” Ninety days sounded like sweet music. I told him I’d call my real estate agent and let her handle the rest. It was a miraculous outcome, and a fast one. I’ll be forever grateful for it. Yes, it took a little more time, but every loose end worked itself out, and the buyer and I each landed in a good place, without spending extra money or continuing under pressure. Was that manifesting? I can say this much: everyone I reached out to, so to speak, picked up the phone exactly when I needed them most. It’s a story worth passing on, and I hope it brings you wonderful results of your own. Manifesting isn’t always a solo act. Sometimes it looks like picking up the phone and asking someone, anyone, to help you carry it. I didn’t solve that problem myself, and I couldn’t have. I had to give up control of it completely. But the moment I asked, clean and out loud, help showed up, first Judy, then the buyer. The walls stopped closing in the moment I stopped trying to hold them back on my own.Ken ________________________________ Want more?
