Praying For The Cure: Message Received and a Miracle at the DMV (reprise)

Recently I was invited to appear on a local radio show here in Denver. It was fun to be live in the studio with radio hosts Greg and Lisa. Most of my radio interviews are in other parts of the country and take place by phone. The owner of the radio and recording studio facility is Hoss. I told Hoss I was interested in doing an audiobook version of Manifesting 123 and he recommended the perfect person to me. So lately I’ve been recording at Hoss’ studio and spending more time with him there.A number of talk shows originate from his station. His philosophy is to have upbeat programs without offensive language. He is basically trying to put some good out into the world. I’m glad we got to spend more time together. Hoss has a lot of interesting stories from his years in the broadcast industry. Then there was that one personal story that really got my attention. I’m delighted that Hoss has allowed me to pass this onto you. Some years back, he was diagnosed with an incurable type of cancer. He was a very sick man and it didn’t help his struggle mentally to know that one of his best friends had been diagnosed with the same type of cancer about a year before. The difference was that his friend’s cancer was operable, but Hoss’ was not. Hoss, his friends, family and total strangers, were putting up a lot of prayers. He was doing some very serious asking and petitioning. He did not want to die. Leading up to the diagnosis, Hoss underwent exploratory surgery. While the doctor had his suspicions of what he was going to find, he needed to see exactly what causing the excruciating pain. After opening Hoss up and exposing the cantaloupe-sized tumor to the surgical team, the prognosis was pretty grim. Turned out that this was the exact same 8-person surgical team that operated on Hoss’ friend who had been diagnosed a year earlier. The cancer was pretty much identical, except for the location. Hoss wasn’t expected to live through the night. The next morning the doctor was doing his rounds and was surprised to see that Hoss was still alive, but in pretty bad shape. The doctor told Hoss to hang on and that he would return later in the day. When he returned, he brought an Oncologist with him who had amazingly enough, treated Hoss’s friend. It was at this time that Hoss was told that he had cancer. While the Oncologist was up beat, his prognosis was that Hoss would not live more than 6 months. To his credit, the doctor did not share that prognosis with Hoss and discharged him from the hospital a week later, scheduling him for 6 months of experimental and intensive chemotherapy. Months later, Hoss was still extremely weak and far from a picture of health. The medical bills had really mounted up, so Hoss decided that he would have a garage sale in an attempt to bring in some extra cash. On the day of the sale his daughter came to him and asked for a favor. She said she would run the garage sale if he would go to the DMV and renew her license plates. That sounded like torture to Hoss. Because of his very fragile health and low-energy, it would take a real effort for him to get to and from the DMV. However, to please his daughter he made the trip. When he got into the waiting room, all the chairs were full except for two, side by side in the front row. A large number of people were standing all around the perimeter of the room. Hoss needed to sit down and he told me he would’ve done whatever it took to get one of those two chairs. He got lucky and collapsed into one of the chairs. Now he just had to tough it out for the long, long wait until his number was called. Almost immediately a woman sat down next to him and began to chat. She was a real talker and Hoss didn’t have the energy or desire to carry on a conversation. She was friendly enough and hard to ignore, but he didn’t give her much in the way of responses. Then she mentioned that she was a nurse. Hoss has a real soft spot in his heart for nurses and he began to engage a bit more. Hoss talked about his cancer and the nurse said that she knew his surgeon’s mother. The mother had recently died and this nurse helped her through hospice. What a small world it was. Hoss was glad that he made the effort to talk with this woman. Then his number was called, but before he could stand up, this lady patted him on the leg, called him by name, and told him that everything would be OK. Hoss thanked her and got up to walk over to the clerk’s window. After a few steps he suddenly stopped, realizing that he had intentionally not given this lady his name, yet she knew it!  He turned around to ask her how she knew his name, but she was gone and two other people were sitting in the chairs that Hoss and the nurse had occupied just seconds ago. Hoss was stunned. This women had no way of knowing what his name was. The room was still full of people but there was only one door out and he thought that he could easily find her. There’s no way she could have exited the room that quickly. He was hanging by the clerks window in disbelief. She simply wasn’t in the room now but she knew his name. The clerk asked Hoss, “Are you alright?” He stammered out that he was OK, then he asked the woman, “Did you see the woman that I was talking to? I can’t find her in the room.” The clerk said, “That’s why I wanted to know if you were okay.  I’ve been watching you more

Your Thoughts are Always Creating. An Example

Nancy Rynes is a well-established artist, and after her remarkable near-death experience (NDE), she became a writer and lecturer. as well. She has experienced extraordinary events today she has shared here first manifesting episode with us. Ken Nancy writes:Five or six years before my accident and NDE, I wasn’t really a believer in anything that would be considered metaphysical, such as manifesting. This was during my atheist / agnostic period. I had a job with a small software company. There were 10 of us, but they didn’t really know me too well because I just started working there doing part-time work as a technical writer. During that time, I was doing a lot of road cycling and was actually getting quite good for someone who had just turned 40. I was a little bit older than the younger 20-somethings I was competing with, but I was doing pretty well all the same. I did make it into the top 10 on road racing several times during that period, and I didn’t use sponsorships so I had to buy all of my own equipment. So basically I had to put together all of the best components for a race bike at a sale price. The last parts that I needed for my racing bike were very specialized pedals. I know that sounds weird to most people, but for a racing bike, you have to have very specific pedals and shoes that lock together. This gives you maximum power on each pedal stroke. So the pedals I decided on were really specific. This was a very expensive part for me at the time and it was the last piece I needed. They were not completely pro quality like you’d see on the Tour de France, but they were about $250. I had other things going on in my life that imposed financial restraints, so this was a lot of money. At home, I had a paper catalog from a bike parts manufacturer with a bunch of bike items in it, and that is where I saw the pedals that I really wanted. I’d been wanting them for about a year by this time. Finally, I just cut out the entry in the catalog with the pedals on it and I put it on my refrigerator so I could see it every day. I was looking at those pedals every day, and I didn’t really understand what it was that I was doing. It was just that those pedals were my goal. I wanted those pedals and it was just something I was saving up for, right? So I just parked the photo and description on my refrigerator. A week later, I was at work where I shared an office with one of the very junior members of the team. The guy I shared an office with was responsible for going through all the day’s deliveries to double-check them against what was ordered. Typically it was just office supplies, computer mice, pens, pencils, computer paper, and things like that, from Amazon. That day my office mate was going through the deliveries and I happened to be watching him as he opened the box and checked it against what was ordered. I watched him break into a new box and he pulled out something odd. “So what the heck is this?” he said, and he held up a small box with bike pedals inside. They were the very same pedals that I had cut out of the catalog and put on my fridge!  He asked, “What are these? Do you know anything about this? Did you order these?” I didn’t, and besides, I didn’t have access to the company credit card. But they were the exact bike pedals that I had picked out and posted on my fridge the week before. Even more amazing, there was no record on the Amazon order slip that an order had been placed for them. The owner of the company found out about it and said, “Well, I guess these are for you.” Then he handed them to me and told me to have fun with them. I was adamant and kept asking everyone, “Did you order these? Did you guys order these for me as a gift?” No, they did not. It was very obvious that they were all quite surprised and had no idea. None of the guys at work ever visited me at home so they couldn’t know what I had on my fridge, and I didn’t talk about bike parts with them, ever. The guys that I worked with knew that I biked, but they didn’t know how much I was into it or any of the details. So that’s my story about manifesting without even realizing I was doing it. The result was so specific. It was literally the exact model number of the part that I wanted. That’s just impossible. There are no odds for that. My repeatedly looking at the bike part was essentially a thought that began to form a physical outcome: the pedals I was looking at numerous times a day. I have learned a lot about manifesting since then but this instance was the only time I had apparently been that specific. Since then, I learned that manifesting does work and I don’t have to be that specific because I don’t want to limit myself. But the moral of the story is that sometimes you can be specific. Today, I would say that I desire the right bike pedal for me, or a better model, and not specify a particular model because I might get something better. This way you leave it open to many possibilities…like a gift or money, as an example, to obtain the things you need. Like a pair of just the right bike pedals.Nancy Rynes Nancy’s art websiteNancy’s book websiteNancy’s near-death experience video interview Here is your complete manifesting must-read bonus!KenWanna Know a Real Secret? An Extraordinary Seed Story: A Remarkable Medical Outcome (reprise)

D. writes:When we last talked, I told you my doctor found two areas of cancer as tumors. A couple of weeks earlier, they took three or four mammograms and sonograms, discovered the tumors and naturally, I had been worrying about it all that time. So during our call, I asked if you would send me some good energy. You said you would and then you told me about a recent conversation you had with Judy Goodman regarding the Extraordinary Seed that we can ask God or Source to send to others or ourselves. You had recently written it up in the Manifesting 1,2,3 newsletter and explained it to me. (Here is the complete Extraordinary Seed how-to information in the previous newsletter.) You told me you would ask for the Extraordinary Seed to be sent to me and when I repeated the words, Extraordinary Seed, reflexively, this little puff of breath came out of my mouth, I had never experienced a reaction like that before. I had planned an out of town trip and when I returned days later, I had to go in to biopsy on the tumors and determine the type of cancer. For the procedure, I was strapped to the table and the biopsy began when suddenly one of the technicians said, “She doesn’t have a pulse!” I was suddenly feeling very clammy and while looking at the monitor, my blood pressure fell to 28/17. I quickly recovered on the table and after that shakey ordeal, I had to wait for the biopsy results. Soon after, the doctor got back to me and said the results were quite amazing. Yes, there were tumors but very unusual ones. The tumors had calcifications and were not cancerous. He said it was very rare to see tumors like this and declared that I was all clear! I just have to tell you how thankful I am and I thank God for what feels like a miracle happened. I feel like you and Judy are a part of it and please pass my thanks onto Judy as well.D. Thank you so much D. I am so very glad I had that helpful information from Judy to pass on to you and I am thrilled for your amazing success. Judy and I had our small part to play but the real credit goes to you and the Power beyond us. What a thrilling outcome!Ken ________________________________ Want more? Manifesting and Creatively Insisting

The artist Dawn Miller sent me an interesting manifesting story. Some weeks earlier we were discussing how business people and other artists have had success when they visualize that a particular result was in progress or had just happened. I have done this a number of times myself, as recently as last week. Typically the stories are about an artist say, stating one of these two things: “A painting is selling now,” or, “A painting has just sold now.”  Then they visualize that the sale has happened and how it feels emotionally at that moment. The results have been surprising, so Dawn gave it a try. Her outcome was music to my ears and don’t forget, these applications can be used in a number of different ways.Ken Dawn writes:You made the suggestion that I should try the idea that I’m selling a painting now, so I used the technique from your book, visualizing a sold painting in my future “movie.” I imagined that I was in my future and looking at the at the wall at my gallery, and where my painting should have been, I saw instead that the hook it should hanging from was empty. And even better, there was a little sold sticker to the side of where my painting used to be. I didn’t imagine a particular artwork of mine. I was just envisioning the wall where my work was hanging and in that place, the empty hook. That’s not all I did. I said some prayers asking for abundance and financial assistance as well. You had mentioned that at the least, prayers are also intentions, and in the case of our prayers, they are heard. The very next day I got The Call. It was a message from the gallery telling me that a large painting of mine had just sold. I’m super excited and I’m very grateful to you for giving me that suggestion.Dawn Visit Dawn’s fine art website Photo credit:top: Dawn Miller, Gift of Opportunity, oil, cropped here and Manifesting 123 on Pinterest

Manifesting a Long Shot

Your thoughts and words matter and here’s a beautiful example of why we should be mindful of what we are thinking and speaking.Ken Amy writes:So yesterday was my birthday and I was on the way to the golf course to meet with a customer of mine and his nephew. While I was sitting in the afternoon traffic, I was thinking to myself that it would be really nice to have a hole in one. We all met up on the course and we’re out there playing for a time and we arrived at a par three hole. The guys hit off and it looked like Reese, who is my customer’s nephew, hit the ball in the direction of the flag. It’s tricky…you can’t see the hole because there’s a little bit of a hill hiding the flag. Reese hit his shot and it looked like the ball went way past the green, an overshoot. Then Andrew did the same and in the same direction and I was like, wow, they have both overshot the green. As for myself, I didn’t make it to the green and I’m short, in the trees. The two guys got up to the green and Andrew started looking for his ball. Reese found his and as I thought, he had overshot. I found mine in the trees I’m chipping up to the green. Meanwhile, Andrew is still looking for his ball when finally, Reese asked, “Did anybody look in the cup?” And there it was, in the hole, his yellow soccer-looking golf ball. It was beautiful with those yellow lines glowing in down in the cup. Andrew had been playing a very long time and this was his first hole in one. It was really funny because I was thinking to myself, “Okay, next time I’m going to manifest hole in one just for me!” Yeah, yeah. I wasn’t specific enough but was a classic moment. We were all excited and jumping for joy. Oh, my God, Andrew high fived me. He’s like, happy birthday! You’re welcome! That was pretty exciting, manifesting something like that that so simply and quickly. What a thrill!Amy ________________________________ Want more? Manifesting with Meaning: How to “Plant the Flag” for a Better Future

We’ve all faced moments when a big decision looms and the stakes are higher than usual—financially, emotionally, or personally. It’s natural to hesitate, to overthink, or even freeze. But often, the best outcomes come when we make the decision ourselves, with intention, rather than letting circumstances decide for us. That’s where manifesting comes in. Suppose you have an important goal in mind. It’s not certain if you will achieve it, but regardless, you will put your full effort into making it happen. With the idea of planting the flag, do just that. Manifest the outcome in your future by making a movie of what that looks like and you clearly see that happening. That is your true goal after all, the happiness that comes that prime accomplishment. What does that mean? There is an operative word here, happiness. That is what planting the flag truly represents, the pleasure of being on that mountain top. And what is on that pinnacle? Can you know all the positive scenarios that can play out? It’s not likely. That flag represents more than a goal; it represents the happiness and fulfillment you expect to feel when it comes true. Also consider that the outcome can be better than you could even dream of. Would that be acceptable? Are you agreeable with contentment? We often fixate on specific forms of success, but what we’re really after is the feeling behind them. And the truth is, we can’t always predict what will bring us the greatest joy. Garth Brooks’ song “Unanswered Prayers” captures this beautifully:“Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers…That just because He doesn’t answer doesn’t mean He don’t care…Some of God’s greatest gifts are unanswered prayers.” It’s a reminder that our desires may not always unfold the way we imagined—but something better may be on its way. So yes, aim for your goals. Manifest them. Picture them. Work toward them. But also allow room for something even more aligned with your happiness to emerge, some happy result you haven’t considered. Here’s a simple process:Manifest and visualize your desired outcome daily.Add gratitude—be thankful as if it’s already in motion.Release the grip—let go of rigid expectations. Instead of manifesting with the idea of, “It must happen exactly this way or I’ll be devastated,” shift to: “I trust the best possible outcome is on its way.” Keep your goals but don’t limit the possible, joyful outcomes. Your planted flag doesn’t guarantee a specific event—it marks the place of your future happiness. And once you have planted your intention, you may begin to feel that happiness growing already. Here is a previous planting the flag story about a potentially serious car repair. Congratulations to you in advance!Ken ________________________________ Want more? Favorite Stories From the First Six Months

Manifesting stories never get old, they are always inspirational and little gems of hope from people everywhere that decided to make a change in their lives. Jump right in anytime and make your own desires come true!Ken Our Intentions Can Make a DifferenceLeslie writes:I recently received a startling text from the husband of a dear friend, S., that I met while traveling about a year ago. She doesn’t live nearby but we have stayed close and I was shocked to hear that she had a stroke. Her husband said that the doctors informed them that S. has lung cancer and it has metastasized to her brain. He continued texting because he wasn’t ready for a phone call yet. As his text went on, he said, “We’re at the hospital, and just outside S’s room in the hallway is a painting. It’s your painting.” Make it Happen Now!I received this story from a good friend that is in the very beginning stages of putting her present home up for sale. We discussed her manifesting a home sale plan and added this one idea, and that is to say something along these lines out loud, “My house is selling now in a way that is beneficial to me and the buyer.” There are many things to do before a sale and one of those was to clear out unneeded items. Something that she was particularly interested in removing was all of her gemstones and jewelry making equipment. After she made her vocal and forceful command, she listed all the jewelry items for sale with a bulk price and happily, it sold the same day! That is surprising enough, but the way the sale went down was very unusual. Yes, I Manifested My HusbandWe are constantly manifesting and just about everyone has a story. I was talking with a new friend and brought up the subject other her. I asked her if she had any manifesting examples and the replied with the title today, “Yes I manifested my husband.”  I am so glad she is sharing her story with us. ________________________________ Want more? Can Manifesting Do Big Things? Big as a House?

Maureen writes:I manifested living on the North River in Massachusetts. I am an artist and at the time I was living in Hyde Park, in the Boston metro. I was often driving back and forth to Marshfield nearby to attend art classes and there was a particular bridge in Marshfield that I enjoyed passing by. In those art classes I was painting outdoors, called a paint-out, with other members of IAPS, the International Association of Pastel Societies. We often worked in the vicinity of different people’s houses and many were near that same Marshfield bridge. I was really drawn to the bridge and I would go there and see it at different times of the day, even making some drawings of it. I loved that entire area with the houses on the river border and framed by the tall, green trees. I imagined living there some day in that perfect and idyllic little community. Surprisingly, my friend Gail told me about a house for sale in that same area. I immediately went by and took pictures of the garage. I knew my husband Jack would like the garage as much or more than I liked the location, the Spot, with the river as part of the backyard and yes, there was the bridge in sight close by, spanning the water. I went back to my husband and urged him to look at the property with me. He said okay and once there, he did love that garage. Well, we put an offer in on the river house with the bridge view and they accepted. I was clearly manifesting this scenario. In fact, when I was attending Ken’s art workshops earlier, I remember working to manifest a Massachusetts home at the time. Did I know that I was going to be living in that exact spot with a view of that bridge? I didn’t, but the idea was inside of me, inside my head, and in my dreams. I saw that I would be living on the North River with that bridge nearby and it actually happened. My goal was repetitively reinforced every time I saw or crossed that bridge.  I am still amazed at how it all came together. Once in the house, I ended up doing many scenes of my river view and made another painting of that bridge… the bridge that I now look at every single day on the North River. ________________________________ Want more?
