I Almost Missed Out! Don’t Put Off Manifesting!

I think it was like a month ago, I was thinking of attending a photographic workshop / retreat up in Cody, Wyoming, and it would cost $5,000 to attend. The down payment was $1000, which I had, but it was the other $4000 that was really concerning me.

As an artist doing Western scenes of the land, animals and working ranch hands, having access to authentic scenes offered in this workshop would be a tremendous help, but the cost was a real hurtle, so I convinced myself not to do it. Then I reversed myself, saying I’m just going to do it anyway and hope the money comes in.

It didn’t feel good, I can tell you that much, committing to a $5,000 workshop. I that’s a big deal for me and most people. I swallowed my financial woes thought, signed up, sent in the $1000 downpayment and hoped for the best.

I was so busy with other things for a month afterward that I didn’t to do any manifesting at all. I know a lot about manifesting and I have had some big successes in the past, but I let the idea slip by.

Shortly before Christmas I thought I should try to manifest that workshop fee. I could have been more urgent about this, but I sat on it for a few weeks longer before considering a little manifesting idea, something a bit different.

For some reason I have a hard time visualizing as a manifesting technique. Given that, I decided to try a different approach that I had seen in a used book recently bought at a library sale. I purchased a bunch of books to decorate a high shelf in my home. I’m not kidding, and when I looked at one of the books, it was like, oh my God, this is a manifesting book, probably from the 90s, and it was one I hadn’t seen before. It was written for secular people, even a business audience. It wasn’t really written for people of a spiritual outlook, but I could tell the author was a spiritual guy,

It was a positive thinking approach, but it was pure-on manifesting. Basically, what you do is you is to write a letter to both God and your inner CEO, your higher self. It’s effectively a series of letters. The first letter is a letter about describing your ideal life in a specific way. Now that normally doesn’t work very well for me, so I just wrote a letter about my artist’s life, my ideal artist’s life. Next, you are supposed to put it in a folder or special place for God and your higher self to consider and grant.

The next day I did a different letter, off the cuff and simple, but it was about manifesting the remaining the $4000 for the workshop. This letter was very specific stating that I needed $5,000 or more so that I can take this 2026 workshop up in Wyoming. I wrote it like a conversation, saying this will help me with my art career, the artist life that I wrote to you about yesterday, you know? So I’m doing this to support the artist life that I had just laid out to you yesterday, okay?

Then I did something that is special to me. I have a little old, super old-fashioned suitcase. That’s my little suitcase where I put things I want God to see.

It’s cute, just sitting on a shelf. It’s my little suitcase where I can communicate and send things to God. God can look in there and figure out if I should have what I asked for, something else, or whatever.

So I put my letters in there a few days before Christmas, likely the 20th of December, and the next day I got a check in the mail from one of my galleries. It was exactly $5,000 for a very large bison painting I had done!

It didn’t stop there…
The next day, someone purchased two small paintings off my website, for another $1,000, wow! And then the day after that, another gallery here in town that had just begun representing me sold a $1,000 painting. Hmmm, three days after writing that letter, I totaled $6500!

Why did I delay? Once again, my manifesting had a remarkable result, telling me to manifest every day, and why not? What a great way to begin the new year!

It’s very exciting to hear Nancy’s story. It has a similar basis to something I call Planting the Flag. In Nancy’s story, she placed an intention into the future and began to manifest a successful result. Here’s more on that idea.

I did joke with Nancy and asked her if she is renting out her little suitcase. Of course not, but you can come up with your own special place, yes?
