Shooting the Moon!

Shooting the Moon!

John is a commissioned salesman selling a specialized product. People can order from a short menu of existing types or specify a custom item.

It is important that John stays close to his customers with product updates but he can’t pester them with constant pitches. In a saturated market, his product stands out in a premium niche, but there is still abundant competition.

After reading Manifesting 123 and getting good results personally, John made a plan to apply the principles to his sales career.

There is a lot of income potential in this market, but the norm among the sales staff is to get by comfortably. There isn’t a lot of the ‘shoot the moon’ thinking going on.

Being in sales often means that one often worries about the personal bills from month to month. It’s difficult to get months ahead of those expenses, but the possibility is there. His strategy was to use ‘comfortable’ as a baseline and make his goal a way to reach new customers and create larger sales.

His company is coast to coast with many outlets representing the products. If John has a client contract him directly and they haven’t written orders with an outlet in the past, then the client is John’s at full commission. He could run national ads but they are expensive and create friction with some in the outlet group.

John decided that he would begin to focus on the custom orders by becoming more knowledgable with the product and letting his present clients know about his creative edge in production and installation. Next, he polished his sales pitch and supporting documents.

He had one more valuable tool. Every day he began to use the #1 of Manifesting 123 to visualize his future. John saw himself enjoying the increased success in his career. Within about six weeks he saw a result. It was a nice spike in traditional sales, but here’s the interesting part. There was a new shift in how he was creating income. Some of the outlets were contacting him for his installation expertise and client communication skills. He started getting commissions from those affiliates since he became part of the sale. Wonderful!

Things were going great. He was still doing the manifesting Movie described in the book and was steadily getting ahead, putting some money into savings.

Then one morning he awoke a with really good idea. He immediately put it to work in his Movie. It was that shoot the moon idea. In his future, new clients were calling him direct with very large orders. It didn’t matter how they heard about him, that wasn’t part of the visualization, it was about making direct sales. This way, John gets the full commission, a sizable difference.

While we was at it, he visualized larger orders than he had ever written before, a fabulous combination. He didn’t have a clue how this could happen but why not try to manifest the big sale moon shot?

It took two weeks. He got the call for the largest custom order he had ever written. He was very grateful to get it, but was it a fluke?

Eight months passed and then something changed. Since last October, John has written a big order every month matching that first big one. He has never had a run like this and more big sales are pending. The clients are calling in out of the blue. It is as if he has a big billboard in the sky somewhere with his phone number…amazing!

Some of these accounts have become repeat clients, making the entire process much easier.

John is not comfortable as a writer, so he had me write it up and make sure it was passed on to you. Wow, thank you John!

So how could this happen?

John could see the problem and devised a strategy but how could he make it work?

He wanted to standout from the crowd and reach bigger customers. It was quite the puzzle, particularly when his preference was to have clients call him directly. He couldn’t find a way around the limits in the present system so he made a plan without limits using Manifesting123.

John doesn’t clearly know how all the new clients reached him. Two were from old, forgotten contacts and recommendations but the rest are a mystery. Regardless, the success he planned found him as if my magic. If it can work for John … ?

We are rooting for you!
