I Got the $6000 I Wanted – OUCH!

I Got the $6000 I Wanted – OUCH!

I’m an East Coast artist in a small, tourist community. When Ken came to town to teach one of his art classes, he reserved the last evening for a Manifesting 123 lecture. From that talk I felt like I had a real understanding of how manifesting could work for me.

I read your book and began a plan that would specify the amount of art sales that I wanted each month. I started by visualizing a future where I had sales of $2000 to $3000 a month. Happily, I saw that materialize, a really big deal.

Now I’m on a roll. Getting those sales was a real confidence builder so it got me to thinking I can do more. I developed a new plan that was even more ambitious. Every day I made sure to say that I want $6000. I’m going to double my income simply by thinking it. This is really exciting stuff.

Because the rewards are so great, I had plenty of incentive and the need to stay on track to want that $6000.

I opened my mail the other day and got a shock. There was my number in a letter, the $6000. It was a past due property tax bill exactly in the amount I had been working on! What the heck is going on with that?

I gave him a call and he had me go through my story a couple of times. How could I have been a quick success one month and be doubly backwards shortly after? As Ken pointed out, there was a distinct pattern in my story. Every time I made mention of the $6000, I prefaced it with the words ‘want’ or ‘need.’

Congratulations were in order. I was powerfully manifesting that I wanted or needed $6000, repeating it every day and I made it happen. When the tax bill came in, I was quickly in need of exactly that amount. Since then, I have learned that what what we say creates form in a very literal way.

Fortunately, the $6000 wasn’t going to be a major problem since I had it in savings, but DURN IT !

Back to plan A: I visualize that in my future I am bringing in $6000 a month, the equivalent or more. Further, I am very grateful for how it all came about. I have not tied this income to art sales or even money. This visual allows for a variety of positive results including a reduction in the bills and expenses I typically pay. That is the equivalent of income too – I get it!

I am a believer and further, I watch what I say, particularly when it comes to statements using want or need! No being wanting or needy again for me!
