On Goal with the 7th Grader Manifesting Her Future

My daughter Angela recently accomplished something amazing. She decided that she wanted to try out for her 7th grade soccer team. When I heard about it, I was encouraging but I was also concerned that perhaps she had set a high goal and could encounter some disappointment.

It was a Very High goal. Angela hadn’t played soccer since she was 4-5 years old and she was going to try out for the position of goalie. Angela was not experienced as a goalie. She didn’t know that position and had never been trained in it. There are a lot of kids that would like that position, so the competition would be tough.

In the past, I had talked with her about manifesting and mentioned it a few times conversationally, but I didn’t think that she really cared or was paying attention to what I was offering.

That changed when I saw Angela on her ipad creating affirmations. She was writing about how her teammates were congratulating her after a great game. She had numerous photos showing a successful goalie. She had created a written and visual universe where she was already a good and admired goalie. Angela referred to the words and pictures celebrating her success everyday.

The day of the tryouts came and there were a lot of eager and talented kids wanting to make the team. Angela was there mixing it up with everyone and doing everything that was asked of her. She was looking good! Where were these skills coming from?

After it was all done, we waited for the word.

Angela made the team as a goalie! I was so proud of her. She took on the task and quickly got up to speed to get that coveted position. Also, she used Manifesting skills to help her dream come true.

I’m getting that she was listening to me a lot more that I thought!

Angela was certainly focused on being a goalie and during the tryouts she had to perform at a very high level. Off the field, she was a Manifesting pro. She was seeing her future as a successful goalie being congratulated by her teammates. She kept a lot of photos on her iPad where she imagined herself on the field numerous times and performing at a high level.

She didn’t visualize that she was “going to” be or “working to” be a goalie. She saw a future where she Was the goalie and a very competent one.

Your thoughts can literally create the future. As you think it, your thoughts literally build what looks like a vapor in the unseen world around you. In the physical world, houses don’t suddenly just pop out of thin air, they are built a board and brick at a time. Your thoughts do the same, and when they become fully formed, and full-color things in the field around you, they come into your physical world. You get approval for that raise, an interesting person comes into your life, you wake up happier and so much more. This is what everyone’s thoughts do.
