I Drew My Little House then Watched it Appear!
Your thoughts literally create form and concepts and in Mary’s story here, she combined a vision board and a specific list. Further, she revisited these things almost daily, continuing to ‘layer’ or reinforce her intentions. How does it work? For years, almost since childhood, I investigated and made efforts to practice “Manifestation.” For years, almost since childhood, I investigated and made efforts to practice “Manifestation.” I did a lot of investigation and it took me to many awesome guides. I was searching for ways to understand the power of thought or energy, and to make things happen.
Recently I found myself afloat from a job that held relevance for me. The company closed its special branch where I worked and I had to look in new directions. The word retirement came up. My husband and I love pine trees, and we took a while to look around in our Canadian province’s cottage country options. We had acquired a tired little place some years before, but it was definitely not winter capable without huge work and many chain saws, lol. So we decided to look around for a tiny little house with a basement in an area with some social contact, vs. living in the bush.
To manifest our home, I made a drawing of the house and used it as my vision board. To add to our intentions, my husband and I made a list of requirements: a small house with a beach nearby and enough civilization close by where I could shop, with medical resources nearby and nice places to eat out.
I scoped the real estate market online almost every day and we used google maps to examine those ‘maybe’ places. We drove our realtor crazy with our active looking. In the spring we saw a cute little house that filled the exact specs of the drawing I had made on a scrap of paper. However, this house had a very damaged basement and we felt it was way over priced for what it was, so we hmmmed and hawwed – to offer low or not?
It was a modest home with a propane furnace and a tree near the house. It was surrounded by other houses but not too crowded. It had a quaint old horse barn that was now a workshop with a nice view. Here is one really shocking detail: The view out the back window was the EXACT view of a painting in my friend’s house, an artwork I had always wanted. I asked her to give me the painting when she got tired of it, but over the course of several years she continuously said “not yet.” Each time I saw it I would ask and the answer was always the same. I loved that painting because it depicted gentle fields and ducks in a pond.
The weeks went by and we continued to think about that house. We learned later that about 100+ people had looked at the house, BUT, no offers were made. We jumped in and decided to offer very low and as happens with real estate transactions, replies come back very quickly, or not at all. We didn’t get a reply for about 10 days and then we got a “no”. We went on to look at other properties but kept an eye on that little house. More time passed and when it remained on the market, we offered again. Another silence, and finally at the 11th hour, our offer was accepted! It was the exact house I had drawn on my little piece of paper, right down to the single tree beside the house, and it has the exact view as my friend’s painting.
We moved in and my friend gave me the painting as a house warming gift! NOW, it’s back to recreating my newer vision board and lists of what I want to happen next.
