I Hit the Bottom, then I Made My Plan

I Hit the Bottom, then I Made My Plan

Hannah writes:

I’m a single mom with two kids. I had a beautiful three bedroom home in a nice part of town. I didn’t like my job that much but it paid okay. Then business slumped everywhere and without any fault of mine, I was laid off.

It was an awful time. I had to sell my wonderful house of nine years, that was a blow. The kids and I moved into another place less than one-half the size and they had to share a room.

I was depressed and wasn’t sleeping well at all. I did get a job, but in a short time my boss came to me and said I should start looking for another.

I was really up against the wall. I’ve got a masters degree and I’m just struggling so very hard. I just couldn’t get a break. It was bad. I had hit bottom.

I began to think about why I am here. What is it that I want? I’m so ready to get out of this awful position. I decided if I’m going to fall at least I’m going to fall in the direction of my choosing. If I’m going to fail, then I will fail at something I want to do.

This idea gave me some clarity, so I listed what I wanted to do. It came down to caring for my children, having a fulfilling career and living comfortably.

Then I began a process of slowly letting go of things. I accepted that there might be change and loss. I had some negative distractions in my life, people and things, so I let them go or made healthy adjustments.

Then I began to ask. I decided I would have a career where I would heal people in someway and have a creative life. Health and wellness is important to me and that would be a part of my life as well.

I asked to be sustained while I transitioned to my new career.

This was my plan and I went over it every morning and evening. In the past I had asked for some of these things but my heart was really in it this time. I knew I was worthy to make these requests. My self-worthiness had been a problem before.

I didn’t know if this would work or not, but I couldn’t afford lesser options.

I had been told my job was going to end in June. Then my boss had left and I was feeling adrift.

Shortly after, the company CEO came to town and asked to have a meeting with me. He said he heard good things about me and asked me to stay. He offered me a promotion and more pay.

It was a stunning turnaround. The promotion required additional responsibilities, so I asked for even more money in line with the new responsibilities. The answer was yes. It was exactly what I needed to stabilize my finances.

I had recently begun a side business out of my home where I’m using my hands and my heart to truly help people. This is the perfect career I was planning for. Business is steadily growing with referrals and new clients. Yes, it takes more of my time but it doesn’t feel like a second job at all. I’m very energized and happy when I’m with my clients, so I’m not fatigued afterwards. It’s not a burden at all and I’m building the career of my dreams.

Every day special things happen. I’m meeting wonderful people. Some are teachers for me and in turn, I find myself teaching others more often. There is a lot more synchronicity in my life and all these things confirm that my asking has made a difference.

Looking back, I can see that it all came about because I hit bottom, then asked for a change. I learned to adjust, to be open and ready for whatever happened. It was OK to ask and to dream. I was worthy of happiness.

I learned that we have the power to create and I continue to create my hearts desire. There are many things that I can’t control but I navigate onward to my goal.

I consciously let things go, a slow and painful process it times. I gracefully accepted the difficulties that came to my door and stayed with my thoughts and visions for the life I desired. I was visualizing and asking every day with a new heart and a gratefulness that I hadn’t felt in a long time.

This has all developed so much better than I had thought and I know it’s just the beginning.

At times I’m shocked to see the change. I’m so happy when I sit in my office safe and secure. I have a new optimism. I feel less stress and recently I have even slept in a couple of times because my mind is at ease. I find myself saying thank you, thank you, thank you throughout the day.

I’m now manifesting the vision of a three-bedroom home with a lot of light. It also has beautiful workspace perfect for my new career, all by the end of the year.

…and she is just getting started.

Hannah appeared to run out of options. As it turned out, she reached for the biggest and most powerful tool at her disposal, asking. This is not a story about how she used the book to manifest her dreams. Her story is how she bravely changed course, letting go of her treasures and all that was a hindrance. She brilliantly realized she could remain with a failing plan or go for happiness and comfort. If she was going to fall, it would be doing her heart’s desire.

Hanna’s story encompasses so much of our own experiences. It’s a timeless story for everyone. She used her thoughts and gratitude everyday to bring her desires to life.

It’s all in Manifesting 123 with even more important tools, simply laid out. When Hanna was ready, she did it her way with the same basic tools: thought, gratitude and repetition. Simple.

Don’t wait to hit bottom. You are worthy and empowered to fly now.
Regardless, it’s more blue sky from here..
