Putting Manifesting 123 to the Test: An Unusual Business Plan

I have a small business that has under 100 well-designed products. We successfully wholesale our items across the US with a small sales force and web presence. Some of our items are purchased for the hospitality market, but our tiny sales staff has not been very successful penetrating this market.

For the last year, I have been purposely manifesting that those hospitality items would become a bigger part of our income stream.

When I read the book, I was struck by the description of how our thoughts create form and concepts as we think them. People talk about attracting and manifesting but I never heard a description of our thoughts literally build something. It was liberating and I had to put it to the test.

I used what I read in Manifesting 123 to envision a future where our hospitality products hit an exact sales number or more every month. There wasn’t a company plan to work this goal because we are so busy with more profitable projects. So I conceived a test, using Manifesting 123 to reach the sales goal without additional efforts or personnel. Perhaps a good result could be realized out of thin air. It was a wacky business plan, but what the heck, it cost us nothing to try.

Once I began to manifest this goal, sales did improve slightly. New orders appeared in a variety of ways and from new sources. Over the next six months we hit our goal a couple of times – a new plateau and very encouraging.

A few days ago the fun began. I got a call from two large wholesale companies that specialize in the hospitality market. They have the expertise and scale that we can’t compete with. Each company has relationships with all the big buyers. They offer a larger product line because they get a wide variety of items from many manufacturers like us. Therefore they get the very big projects that are beyond our grasp.

For about 5 years, we have been working with the smaller of those two wholesalers. Sales have been a trickle despite our product improvements and increased choices. The other company is far larger and what we offer is a perfect fit for them, but years ago they declined to carry our line and the smaller company signed a contract with us, locking out the larger company.

Last week the owner of the larger company expressed interest in what we have to offer. She said that sales would easily hit a particular dollar amount – just the one I had been manifesting. That really got my attention! The owners of both companies are friendly competitors, giving us a frictionless opportunity to work with each of them.

After a few phone calls, both companies are now happy to sell our products, individualized for each one. It is amazing that suddenly we have more leverage and reach than we ever dreamed and with friendly owners that I have good and long-standing relationships with.

I’m looking forward to watching the higher sales roll in. It’s thrilling to have Manifesting 123 as a part of the team here!

 

Manifesting 123: The new salesforce?

To be clear, this break didn’t just appear out of thin air. The company already had a presence in the hospitality market but a small one. They had a good product and put a small effort into expanding this niche.

When the owner initially began to manifest the goal, their existing clients responded with more orders, breaking monthly records. I was told these new sales were not a result of sales calls, the existing clients called in on their own. It was an interesting beginning.

It remains to be seen what the two new wholesalers will do, but they indicated there would be a lot more income coming in. I’m sure we will will hear more of this story as it unfolds. They are not sitting back though. As sales come in, more resources will be put in place to support the increased sales. Sounds like a plan.
