New House! Going for the Goal and Getting Out of the Way

I have been living in Denver for 50 years. It is a wonderful place and I have many friends here but for whatever reason, I felt the urge to move to a new place away from Denver. My husband was fine with the idea and he was thinking of something out of Colorado.

I’m and artist and formerly in the real estate business. The housing market wasn’t great at the time but I knew everything would be OK to go forward. I understand manifesting and I keep a list of what I want to happen running in my head every day. I works and I depend on it.

I told my husband I wanted to move but preferred to stay in Colorado. I was very happy that he was agreeable. So where to move? I know this – clearly specify the goal, leave out the small stuff and let it unfold.

My list was exacting but without a lot of small details:
The new house had to be new or no more than six years old.
It is perfect for us.
It is good for our pets.
All of our furniture fits.
It should be in an art-rich community.
We love trees, but not so close they present a possible fire hazard.
There is room for my art studio and my husband’s cars, boat, trailer, etc.
We are older now, so a very good hospital is required nearby.

We put our Denver home up for sale and began to look beyond the city for our next residence. It was an adventure, but I was determined to get out of my comfort zone and allow our dream to present itself.

We became very interested in Salida, Coloado. It is a small community with nice to sublime homes nestled in and around the breathtaking mountains. The downtown is quaint, interesting and artsy…just right!

About the same time our Denver home attracted an offer but after a few days we learned that the buyers didn’t qualify. Durn!

We pushed on. Salida is not a much of a new home market, but we found an agreeable home that was a few years old so we put in an offer to buy. Ouch, our offer was rejected because another buyer submitted a more competitive bid and we lost our chance.

My husband wasn’t discouraged and soon found an even better home there. It was brand new, a model and the builder had lowered the price by a sizable amount, $100,000! We put our offer in and and it was quickly accepted. We got the new house!

Meanwhile, our Denver home found a buyer with a clean offer and our home was quickly sold. Everything was happening perfectly and all at once!

Now we are happily ever after in our picture perfect home in Salida, Colorado. That $100,000 price reduction allowed us to afford a new, rather than an older house with money left over for improvements and moving expenses. Now I have an art studio in my home that is close to a wonderful artsy town. There is a bonus for my smart and accommodating sweetie. My husband has his own second garage. It is his very own building that is now full of his guy toys. We are so very happy here and grateful for the seamless way it all came together.

Because we didn’t create limits a lot of small details, we manifested more than we had dreamed and at a price that was just perfect. We had some bumps on the way, but we now see them as red flags, indicating deals that were less than optimal.
