Love Transcends, Love Seeks

This story is from Lynn Van Praagh-Gratton, an extremely gifted woman with the ability to communicate with the deceased. She is a dear friend and over the years I have seen how she has touched many lives, helping and reassuring people grieving for a loved one. Here is one of her recent stories. Thank you, Lynn. Ken Lynn writes: I was at the hair salon seated next to a woman dressed in black. As I waited my turn, my attention was drawn to a personage in spirit that was standing nearby, her deceased son. I couldn’t see him with my physical eyes, but I clearly had the impression of him in my mind. As a psychic medium, I am very accustomed to having deceased relatives making themselves known to me. These spirits can detect my ability to communicate with them and they come forward in the hope that I will relay information to their loved ones. Her son was giving me the number 21 and with that, I decided to open up a conversation with the woman next to me. We made a bit of small talk and then I asked the woman in black if she had had a recent loss of someone she loved. She said she did. “Your son?” I asked? She said yes and I asked if he 21 when he passed and she said he was. She rolled up her sleeve, exposing a tattoo on her forearm. She explained to me that she would not consider having a tattoo before her son’s death but now his name was written on her arm in Arabic. As a Muslim, her belief is that it is an insult to God to have anything permanently done to one’s body. I later learned that tattoos, piercing, even plastic surgery procedures are forbidden, but pain relief and lifesaving procedures are acceptable. After a few more words, I gave her my business card before parting. Two weeks later, woman from the salon came to one of my speaking events. I would be using my gift to pass on messages from those in spirit to individuals in the audience. She came up to me and said that I had changed her life. I could see that she was happier and her colorful clothing matched her lighter mood. She said, “Because of you, I now know that my son is around me and that he is ok. I also smile a lot more.” With that, we are all smiles. Lynn Lynn’s webste Lynn and I talked further and she told me that it is not unusual for people that have lost someone they love to carry a memento of that person. On numerous occasions, those in spirit have pointed these items out to Lynn and she uses the information as a confirmation for the living relative. We both agreed that keeping these momentos is much like a wish, a continual act of manifestation to honor and to perhaps have contact with the deceased. A tattoo is a strong and continual reminder of those intentions and it is infused with the power of love. We later learned, and this is a very simplified explanation, that in the Muslim faith the followers believe that after death there is no communication between the deceased and the physical world, communications are completely severed. As it is in most religious beliefs, there is always the caution against spirits pretending to be the dead relative or friend. The woman in black said her life had been changed by the chance encounter with Lynn Van Praagh-Gratton and she is walking into the New Year with her son’s name on her arm in a happier, loving and more colorful way. Happy New Year to you and it is my sincere hope is that all of your good intentions be done in love and with an ease and a grace. Believe it. Live it. Be Whatever Your Dream Is.

With the new year approaching it is inspiring to consider the idea of creating what you truly desire in your life from a clean slate. It that possible? Of course, and V’s story has much to offer in that regard, setback, success, wisdom and heart. Thank you for sharing your story with us. Happy Holidays! Ken V. writes: My husband received a great job offer out of state, so we rented a place in the new location and did all that is required for “empty nesters.” This new location has a much higher cost of living and while this was going to be a new adventure for both of us, we were scared about trying to afford this change. We were excited about the move. But in the process, I learned a valuable lesson. Manifesting means intention and one should always have a clear idea of what they are intending and FEAR is probably the most destructive feeling in the human condition. As a fine artist, I knew that my new location would offer me many opportunities to sell my art.I wanted to meet new people and work “part time” in a related field of expertise. Bringing in more income would help offset the higher cost of living in our new location. Of course, I manifested a job and made friends quickly. I literally started the job the day after the moving truck left, leaving little time to unpack and settle in. The job I thought was “part time” turned out to be full time and I quickly became exhausted and unproductive in my other priorities. I knew my manifesting worked but because I was too specific on the getting the “job” part, I left little room for anything else. I realized very quickly that the job was not what I had expected and required much more time than I was willing or able to give. It was full time and included weekends which left little time for “adventuring” with my husband or creating my new art series. I was also AFRAID to admit to my boss that I had over committed my schedule. I called Ken and told him what happened. We laughed about my situation because we realized that I had manifested a “job” but I wasn’t clear about what I wanted that job to be. I rushed into something that wasn’t the right fit, so I had to adjust. I liked my coworkers and enjoyed the work but now I needed to manifest a more flexible schedule without weekends. I had become trapped and I couldn’t find a way out of the situation. I was worried that I would appear a total loser after spending months communicating with my perspective boss and convincing him to hire me. If I wanted to truly be happy and fix “my schedule, I had to be very clear about what I wanted and why.I also learned to manifest what was truly for my highest good and to live in a perpetual state of gratitude and self-love. I also had to stop being afraid of the higher cost of living in our new location. Oh, and about that job, Ken suggested going higher by manifesting a fulfilling career that I would love. It was FEAR that had affected my manifestation. In order to fix this, I had to raise my thoughts to a higher level and overcome the emotions of FEAR. I first thought about the reason I wanted the job and what I liked about it, then I decided to always project a positive image when I was there. I arrived early each day with a smile on my face. When they asked everyone to participate in a corporate fundraiser, I volunteered and stepped up to help. My efforts were noticed and validated. If they needed me to stay late I did. I made myself valuable to the company and I was reliable and easy to work with. In time, I realized that I was good at this job and gained the self-confidence to move forward without FEAR. That said I finally went to my boss and explained my situation. He was very understanding, compassionate and helped me to create a realistic schedule. Now my schedule is more balanced. I have the “part time” schedule at work, time to work on my personal art business and time for adventuring with my husband. The day I spoke to my boss and we reorganized my schedule, I got an email that my art work was being represented in a national catalogue and I also had been contacted to possibly teach my medium to university level students! All of this didn’t just come out of thin air but it was a lot of hard work and clear intention with my manifesting. For our new place, we were looking to purchase some additional furniture pieces. The day after I spoke to my boss and got all of this great news about my art, I also was able to score two furniture pieces at tremendous discount for our new location. Things were coming together quickly! Here are some of the valuable tools I learned about this process: Learn from mistakes rather than punish yourself. Don’t focus on what you don’t want, but on what you have and how you can improve it. This involves a lot of self awareness including, forgiveness, permission and self love. The universe is full of abundance that comes in all sorts of ways. I had heard this great phrase, fear is “false evidence appearing real.” Fear can be a huge obstacle in manifesting the highest good for yourself. It creates Chaos in your energy field. It clogs your energy pores. Don’t let fear stand in the way of what you truly want. GREED is another word for FEAR and don’t fall for it. Realize that you can’t fix other people or their problems but you can help others when you fix yourself and project positive energy. Our job is to live to our fullest potential. Nothing is out of reach if you are truly clear about what you want and why. V. Go to the Interviews Page to see and hear Ken talking about Manifesting 123 and you don’t need #3. My Heart Was Breaking. Would Help Come?

I am 78 years old and have been manifesting many things in my life. I am still in shock of how my story unfolded last Tuesday. Let me share it with you. I have had many golden retrievers in my life. I lost one last January so when my other retriever, Summer, began getting seriously sick, it was a really hard thing to deal with. Summer was my deceased husband Duane’s and my anniversary gift to ourselves, so she was my last tie to him. Summer had not been doing well so I took her to the vet the day before and got the bad news that she had cancer. The next morning, Summer was even sicker and I was definitely not up to driving clear across town to the vet again. Summer was extremely sick and I had spent many sleepless nights prior, completely exhausting me. As sad as it was, today was the day to put Summer down and relieve her of her misery. I tried to get a vet service to come to the house to put her down here at home, but they were booked until late at night and the charge would be $400 to do it in-home. I told the service that Summer was in too much pain to wait that long. Days earlier, and during Summer’s lingering illness, I began asking Duane to help me with this. I firmly believe people are in spirit are around us and can provide help. I have had so many good results this way that I am convinced these things do happen. Today was the day I needed help quickly, so that morning I asked Duane again for help and started to use prayer and manifesting as well. While sitting at the kitchen table, I began praying for an answer. I also began manifesting, by visualizing being driven across town in my car. I also posted a plea on Facebook and through a chain of events that morning, the lady I bought Summer from as a pup saw my post about my desire to get to the vet that day and she quickly left me a message to call her. This lady lives in another town but she told me that she had asked her friend Kim, who lived close by, if she could come to my house and help me. Kim came over within 30 minutes. She helped me with Summer and drove us both to the vet in my car and stayed with me through the heart-aching ordeal of putting Summer down. I had never met this lady before and I am still in amazement at how everything came together so quickly and how she took care of us. She was just what I had wished for. I have no family around to help me, my husband passed away over 6 years ago and my kids live out of state. It was mostly visualization I used to manifest her help as well as just saying out loud through my tears, again and again, help me. Kim is a professional photographer here in town and in addition to her good help that day, she received my permission to take the last photos of Summer and I together, something I am so very grateful for. Nancy and Summer Since all this happened, Kim and I have become great friends. She has brought me many gifts and toys for my remaining Golden retriever, Chance, who has been showing signs of depression. She also brought me a book on dogs and a beautiful Christmas wreath for my door. She has helped Chance tremendously and Kim now texts me throughout the day to make sure I am ok, a true angel. This is Chance with the toy that Kim brought I really don’t remember how I came across Manifesting 123 and you don’t need #3 for my iPad, I just know that when I saw it, I thought it was great that you were getting the message out about manifesting, something I have done a lot of over the years. What is the Difference Between a Big Miracle and a Small One?

Throughout the year there have been weekly stories from readers describing how they purposely asked for help. It may have been a prayer or direct manifesting, but the common thread was that their asking produced a happy result. What is interesting is that the result often came in an unexpected way and frequently, better than what was asked for. Martin’s story is a textbook example of how these things come about. His experience may look like a “small” story, even trivial compared to many others that have appeared in this newsletter, but if you take a closer look at the patterns, a truth emerges. Our manifesting is unlimited. How high a skyscraper? Are prayers limited in some way? Is another miracle required for us to understand? Then to the question, what is the difference between a Big Miracle and a Small One? Nothing. Something handy to keep in mind. Thank you for your Big story Martin! Ken Martin writes: This is just a funny story. I started doing the manifestation visualizations and especially Thankfulness work as you described in the book before going to bed. It was a success! I manifested the money to buy my new skis. That worked out well, so I decided to manifest something else. It wasn’t a big thing but I really needed one new coffee machine for my office. After a week of visualization, an interesting circumstance made it possible. One of my friends was giving away her brand new coffee machine that she didn’t like, but it was absolutely perfect for one of my offices. I loved the way that quickly worked out for free! Then other synchronicity popped up in the form of an older coffee machine in the back of a different office closet. Did we need a second coffee maker in the other office? Why yes, and apparently, when I put in a little request, it just seemed to appear. Nice – two perfectly good coffee makers for both offices, free for the asking. Thanks for the simple and fun technique. It really it works. Now sky is the limit. Just see it and be thankful, and I am! I Hit the Lowest Low. Then I Took Charge and My Manifesting Changed Everything

Your thoughts are constantly creating all around you. Want to make a change in your life? Follow this mother’s beautiful example for creating positive changes. Ken Hi Ken, This is the story of my first BIG manifestation but before that happened, there were some serious difficulties. It began in the summer of 1990 when my bad marriage ended in divorce and I had to relinquish custody of my 3 year-old. Further, my 2 older children from a previous marriage were abducted by their non-custodial, biological father and hidden away in Los Angeles. I lost all my children in a matter of days. I was in a pit so deep that I could not stop crying, not even to work, so I lost my job and was unemployable for a while but I resumed work early in 1991. In December of that year, I recovered my two older children, Rebecca and Steven. It dawned on me that if something happened to me, they’d be sent to their Dad, an unthinkable outcome. I decided to move to Texas, where my family could protect them. I needed permanent, affordable, and safe housing but that December I had an $8 an hour job, no savings, an older vehicle and 2 kids to support. In other words, had no idea as to “how” to move and buy a house but I’d read plenty on creative visualization and manifesting, so went to work on it. The Manifesting I set a moving date 3 months out, to March 1st, and I visualized a safe home for my children, in a neighborhood free of juvenile delinquents, with each happy child in their own room, and a yard with space to explore the outdoors. Because visualization without action is just daydreaming, the kids and I talked about the move to Texas and what we wanted. We began the action of physically moving in advance by collecting some boxes and packing a few things. I was counting down the days and we continued our manifesting with the March 1 target. Thankfully, I caught a break, I secured a job in Texas and it made the March 1 move possible! March 1 My wonderful co-workers all came to help, packing and loading the U-haul and in tow behind was the better, used car I was able to purchase 2 weeks before. We arrived in rural East Texas late that night and in the morning, I assessed what I had. My assets were a $2500 tax return and the promise of employment. My liabilities included being a new resident with 2 kids and a car payment. My family laughed when I told them I intended to buy a house. March 2 Looked at a number of properties in my price range and they were deplorable, but I wasn’t discouraged. March 3 I came across a land company that had a repo house on Lake Tawakoni nearby. It was a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, garage, corner lot just off the water and in a private neighborhood of only 15 houses. It had been vacant 4 years, no vandalism, no children in the neighborhood and no rentals nearby. These were all custom-built homes along the lakeside with 20 acres of open fields between the houses and the road. The house I was looking at was just a frame home on a concrete slab, built by an electrician. It was barely finished, 8 years old and currently occupied by spiders and dust. The price? $27,500, so I went for it! Since I was a new resident, it would take 6 months to establish residency before I could take out a loan to purchase the house. It was a blessing to rent first because they had to repair the central air and the 9 breaks in a water pipe. In just 36 hours after we arrived, we had our dream home. In October of 1992, I was able to get a loan on the house with no down payment and a comfortable monthly payment of $235 a month. I lived there for 20 years, until I moved to Aurora in 2011 to be with my daughter, Rebecca. My manifesting practices overcame some very large obstacles and I am so very grateful. I know manifesting works because what appeared magical, was the script of my making. S. Go to the Interviews Page to see and hear Ken talking about Manifesting 123 and you don’t need #3. Sometimes the Impossible Happens in the Last Hours

S. writes: It had been an extraordinary difficult time for me, far too much to go into here but I will tell you that my daughter had been seriously injured in a mass shooting. I left my job to care for her during her recovery and because of some additional personal complications, ended up being unemployed for two years. She survived, thank God, but many others did not. After such a long time out of the job market and being over 50, it appeared that my chances of getting a proper job to cover my expenses and house payment were slimmer than I thought. I know about manifesting and I was surely working it, prayers too. But after months of looking unsuccessfully, my bills were coming due and my finances were almost spent, including my next mortgage payment. I was trying to think of every option when the idea of calling a certain friend came to mind. We had known each other for years, but hadn’t talked for almost a year. I had never asked him for financial help and I felt too ashamed to make that call, so I let it pass. More prayers and manifesting followed that night. It was after working hours, so I couldn’t make any more employment calls. The night seemed darker than ever. About two hours later, the phone rang and it was the same friend I had thought of earlier. He asked me how I was doing and I burst into tears because I was just overwhelmed. I brought him up to date and right off he offered me a small amount of funds to get me by for the moment. Then we started to go through my options again. He asked the magic phrase, “If you could do anything you wanted to do, what would it be? I told him that it was imperative for me to do heart-centered work. I had just been through so much after that mass shooting and seen so much suffering and grief from the other parents, I felt the need to be of service to those that had recently lost loved ones. It gave my friend an idea and he told me about a prominent mortuary in town. The owner was a good friend of his and he would call on my behalf in the morning. Then he asked, “When was the last time you went to the mall?” I laughed out loud and told him it had been a very long time. He laughed along with me and recommended that I manifest some prosperity. He wanted to know if I liked the scented soap from the French place and yes, I really do. Then he asked when was the last time I had a Starbucks. I laughed out loud again because money had been too tight to consider things like that. He told me that he was transferring some money to me now and to do something special for myself the next day. I did what he recommended and went to the mall like I was a millionaire. I walked in and bought one of those exquisite bars of scented soap for $7.50 and then straight over to the Starbucks and treated myself to a special coffee just the way I liked it. I sat back in the chair and breathed in hope for the first time in what seemed like forever. What happened next was beyond my dreams. Within days I was hired by the company my friend recommended. They are wonderful people and after 4 years of continuous employment I couldn’t be happier. My difficult, past experience has given me the empathy and wisdom to help many others in their grief. The work I do is extremely gratifying and feeds my soul every day. By the way, when I asked my friend why he called at just the right moment those years ago, he told me that I had flashed into his mind and he had a very strong urge to call.He picked up the phone the instant it happened. I know it was not an accident. We can make anything happen, but sometimes the help we need will appear for the asking. S. Thanksgiving Week—Where to Start Counting the Blessings?

Let me start by telling you that I’ve seen up and I’ve seen down. I like up a lot better! I’ve learned to live in gratitude and acceptance (except when I forget and have my moments of rebellion!). Gratitude is a practice, just like prayer. Some say I live in rose-colored glasses. I see reality. It’s just that I can generally maintain peace when I’m grateful, even if very tough situations. The stories below are not tragic like to families who are suffering from the fires in California or those suffering from life-threatening hunger in Yemen. My prayers go to those families that their suffering may end quickly. best-rated charities for California donations best-rated charities for Yemen donations My stories pale by comparison. I hope these vignettes will show you how gratitude, even in small trials, can nourish your soul. I have three grown children. The last time we were all together was 2011 for my father’s 95th birthday. At that time, I only had four grandchildren. The night after Dad’s big party one of the siblings crossed the line with another sibling. The other sibling responded in kind and upped the ante. They didn’t speak for two years after that. I wanted to broker peace but knew that they had to work it out between themselves. Bit by bit they did reach out to each other and are best friends again with good boundaries. I am so grateful for the reunion of their bond. Next week, for the first time in seven years, we will all be together again, this time for Thanksgiving. Each family has grown in number of members and maturity. Nine grandchildren are headed to me. I can’t wait! I am so very grateful that we will all be together. I’m only worried about one thing: How will we get the triplets, who are 2 1/2-years-old, to take a nap or go to sleep at night when they can climb out of their Pack ‘n Plays?! Here are a few other things on my gratitude list. I’m grateful for: The outstanding surgeon who, a year ago, straightened the curves in my back so that I can now walk, hike, and pick up my grandchildren. My local surgeon who did an outstanding job on my hysterectomy just three weeks ago, operating with such care that I was able to help a friend celebrate her 70thbirthday last weekend in Mexico. Beautiful days that illuminate color and gray days that offer peace. My friends with whom I laugh and with whom I can share sorrows. My children who have taught me how patient true love is and also appreciation for different perspectives; and My honey who brings me joy and makes every day brighter, richer and sweeter because he’s in it. I wish you a Thanksgiving full of blessings, no matter how large or small. Emmie Go to the Interviews Page to see and hear Ken talking about Manifesting 123 and you don’t need #3. Angie Had a Very Big Manifesting List. Here’s What Happened

Angie writes: Looking back to 4 years ago, it is absolutely amazing to think of all the changes that have come into my life. Manifesting 1,2,3 was a big catalyst for these changes because I learned how our thoughts really create what we think. I began to manifest my wishes by saying them out loud every day. It was kind of like a comedy because I would talk about bringing a good man into my life in a joking way. I was focused on that idea, but I kept if fun. Also included where specific thoughts to reduce my chronic pain and weight, better health and having a better attitude. That is a very big list but everything on it was extremely necessary for the happier life I dreamed of. Things quickly began to come to me in the way of information from friends, literature and videos. It was just the information I needed and I immediately became quite the student while continuing to manifesting every day. From my studies, I became convinced that I needed a quick change in my diet. My first move was admitting that I was a sugar junkie and after stopping cold-turkey, I felt so much better in just 2 days! Next, I restricted my diet intake and the types of foods I was eating. The end result was dramatic. I went from a size 12 to a size 8 and I have never felt better! Another bonus. Apparently, a direct side-effect of the lighter me was a complete elimination of the pain I lived with for years!! Many of the materials I was studying also had helpful advice about reprogramming the way we think. I completely get the idea of thoughts bring results but I was also learning how to create and maintain calm in my life as well – another life-changer! Oh, and one more thing… I am in a relationship with a kind, loving and capable man. It all started with a conversation about Manifesting 1,2,3 and you don’t need #3 and look what happened! How Could This Happen? Manifesting 1,2,3!

Thank you, Edward for your persuasive story. Shortly after he got the book and went to work on his problem, good things began to come his way and in a timely fashion. Ready to give it try yourself? Ken Edward writes: I am over 65 now and have Medicare payments that are large, quarterly payments and with 5-6 weeks before the due date, I didn’t have the funds on hand. It was a big concern but fortunately, I had recently met Ken at his art workshop. I knew he was also the author of Manifesting 1,2,3 and we briefly discussed some options. I was motivated to look for solutions so I began using the techniques in his book: visualizing that I was in my future and the bill was paid. Simple. Further, I used gratitude, just as the book instructed and imagined how good it would feel to have that bill paid. I didn’t specify money directly, a bill-paying equivalent would do just fine and it felt smart to allow other options. It was now 30 days before my payment was due and I went to a park to paint outside. I decided to sit on a bench right by the water and paint a small, 5 x 7 inch scene. It’s nice working outside and the people walking by make it even more interesting. I hadn’t been there long when a couple came over to watch what I was doing. They liked my work in progress and told me they had donated the bench I was sitting on. They were thrilled that I was painting that view and they inquired about commissioning me to do a larger painting for them. Of course I would and we agreed on a price. It all seemed pretty amazing, don’t you think? I was happy for the opportunity, however it came in and I went right to work on the commission. A few weeks later we all met again at the library nearby and I added a few finishing touches right there as they watched. Yes, I was paid but I was still short of making the full Medicare payment. With just a week to go to pay that bill, I continued my visualizations with gratitude as before, hoping for the best. In a couple of days a friend of mine called. He remembered a painting of a bicycle I did years ago and finally decided to buy it. How could that happen and why now? Looks like I manifested it! The total from those two paintings were more than enough to cover my Medicare bill with money left over. That being done, now I’m manifesting that allmy expenses will be paid in a timely way.
