I began manifesting my ideal job: Something where I can be a patient advocate and help patients gain access to the medications they need. This desire came to me as I spoke with healthcare providers and patients about the need for genetic cancer testing to make sure the treatment path chosen for patients is the most effective one.

I thought my manifesting movie was coming true when I interviewed for a Patient Access Specialist role with my company. The job description fit my ideal job perfectly. I walked out of the interview feeling confident that I would get the offer. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.

However, I knew that a similar position would be available later in the year in a different therapeutic area, so I continued my movie and saw myself doing the job. Just before a reorganization was announced, my boss and I talked about my desire for the job and he informed the hiring managers of my interest. I was told to make sure to submit my resume when the position opening is announced.

The following week our won reorganization was announced and it wasn’t good news. My position would be eliminated January 1, 2016. I was quite surprised, but since I have been manifesting my ideal job for several months, I knew this was a sign that I have to pursue my passion for helping patients.

Well, 4 weeks later a Patient Reimbursement Specialist role was announced with 25 positions around the country. It was exactly what I was looking for, now to get that position! I submitted my resume immediately and began talking with my many colleagues in the company of my interest in the role. The hiring manager, who has only been with the company for 6 months, was setting up interviews in Dallas. I spoke with him over the telephone on a couple of occasions and also talked with one of his direct reports about the position. He informed me that I would interview with him in 2 weeks. I was super excited and was counting down the days until the interview.

A few days went by and I received a text message from the hiring manager. It said ” No need to come to Dallas. I am hiring you for the Colorado-Utah PRS position. I will call you later to discuss.”

So, I didn’t have to interview, I haven’t even met my new Boss yet!  (I was hired in November and today is February 1st!) I will meet him February 8th when we are at Corporate Headquarters for a week of training.

So, I am living my movie doing a job that is without a doubt the best job ever and one that allows me to live my passion on a daily basis.

Thanks so much, Ken. Without you teaching me about manifesting, this would not be happening.
