Making the Red Car Happen!

As I was reading Ken’s book Manifesting123 and the passage “With a vision board, you can picture the wonderful vacation, the college degree and that sweet red car,” it brought clearly to mind the first time I manifested something in this way.

Many years ago I was taking my break at work, passing the time looking through a magazine. I saw a really beautiful picture of a little red sports car and decided to cut it out. I remember it made me happy just to look at it.  I wanted to put it up in my cubicle to brighten the space but didn’t want it to be noticed by others. The office had a strict policy about customizing spaces, so I pinned the picture to the wall behind my phone. I knew I would see the picture often during the day.

Six weeks later, I found myself driving around looking at cars as mine was on its last legs. I couldn’t afford anything but a small compact price. I hadn’t researched any particular brand and I felt I was at a financing disadvantage since I just started my job three months earlier. All I needed was a good car at the affordable price I had in mind!

After going to several car lots with no luck, I drove into a small dealership I hadn’t seen before and hoped for the best. Right by the front doors I spied a beautiful little red sports car that looked brand new. The odd thing was that this car wasn’t the brand this dealership sold…hmm.

That day and its details are forever ingrained in my mind.

I started talking to the salesman that greeted me and asked him about the car. He said there was a gentleman that was quite wealthy who bought a lot of cars from this dealership. He had bought the red car at another dealership for his wife but she didn’t like it, preferring a stick shift to an automatic. “Who does that?” I remembered thinking.  So he had bought another car for her at this dealership and traded in the red car as part of the deal.

The salesman went on to say that the car was that year’s latest model, had been titled for 3 months (HUGE warranty remaining) and had 832 miles on it. That salesman turned out to be my favorite car salesman of all time. He worked through the numbers and got me exactly what I needed. I was out the door with my new car in an hour and half, including test drive time!

What had seemed an impossible “dream” turned the little picture of the red car into a true life movie!

Red, it’s the color of the season!

There is another red car that was manifested after a reader was influenced by the same ‘red car’ phrase in Manifesting 123. It’s a great story called The Equivalent of Money.  

In that story a Swedish reader, Emma, used Manifesting 123 as her secret weapon to get the car that was seemingly beyond her financial means. Carey did the same and it was simple visualization and repetition for the most part, but they each made the ‘impossible’ red car happen.
