Grand Encouragement for 2016: Tuition Paid and Then the Perfect Job!

I wanted to update you on my manifesting since we last spoke….good things have been happening.

After we spoke last year, I had made a manifesting movie that I would have my DePaul University tuition covered for my last semester. It was a pretty haphazard movie but it was my future movie all the same. I didn’t want any further student loans but I wanted to finish my degree and graduate in June to participate in the once per year commencement ceremony.

Three days after I began my movie, I received notification that my grades granted me entry into two Honor Societies at DePaul University! I received a scholarship from both which covered my last semester tuition in full. I was able to graduate Magna Cum Laude from DePaul University in June of 2015.

Fast forward to today…

In September 2015 I found that my contract job at the corporate offices of an automobile manufacturer would not be renewed due to budget issues. To make matters worse, my contract would end two months early. I was going to need to find a job and fast.

I quickly got busy making my movie. In this movie, I loved my new job, they loved me, I made great money and had fantastic benefits but most of all, my job was fun and interesting.

Two days later, I received an email from a job listing website with jobs listed that fit my skills. Buried at the bottom of that list was my dream job. That evening, a very late Saturday night, I applied online for the job.

Two days later they called and asked some preliminary screening questions. I was told they move slowly and not to worry if I didn’t hear from them again right away. Two days after that, they called again to schedule an interview.

I was told they would contact me in two weeks if they were still interested. Surprisingly, they called within days and I went in for a second interview.

I really wanted this job…it was fun and interesting and it was good money but my self-esteem kept telling me it wouldn’t happen because it was also very prestigious. So, I had to really focus hard on my movie in which I was told the job was mine and the money was what I was looking for (we are a non-profit and they don’t usually pay market scale).

Three days later, I was offered the job at a very comfortable salary!!
Now it gets interesting…

My boss told me she really wanted me as I was a “top tier” candidate due to my education and experience and she had wanted me from the start. She also said that I had gotten my application in just hours before they were planning to close the candidate search. What really floored me is that I had put in about 17 applications for jobs I was highly qualified for and had even contacted a head hunter and not a single one ever made contact back. How weird is that?

Now that I am in this job, it feels like I have always been here. It’s truly my dream job and I am so very grateful that the Universe helped me obtain it. I know now why no other company responded to my applications. It was because this job was mine and it was exactly what I had asked for.

I’m typing this to you from my desk at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. We are the number one Science and Technology museum in the Western Hemisphere and I am very grateful to be here.

Everything came together as she needed it.

Note that all the time Barbara spent on those job applications was not wasted. When we are in our movie envisioning our future, our thoughts are literally taking form and creating that outcome. All the additional time Barbara spent on those job applications added to the intention of getting that ideal job.

Knowing how thoughts form and create outcomes is a tremendous advantage. This is our birthright – think it and it starts to take shape. This is powerful knowledge.

Barbara bought the book and made it happen. Simple.
Pass it on!
