About this story:
I met G. last week when he was working on an air conditioning problem. His story reminded me that the dreams of kids and grownups are both valid, and if you keep repeating that dream, your thoughts will begin to build what you visualize. Then there is the part about when you are ready…

G. writes:
When I was about 12 years old, my family and I used to come out to Colorado every year for winter ski vacations. After one of those vacations I had such a good time I told my parents on the way home that I was going to move to Colorado someday. Looking back, I didn’t really think about it all the time, or manifest this idea in a formal way with wish lists, etc. but it was a clear goal for me.

I was 22 when I graduated from a Heating / AC Tech school. Early on I had a plan for that to be my career path, and that trade suited me. I immediately decided to look for a job in Colorado but I was turned down for lack of experience. Fortunately, I did apply for an opening in Nebraska and was quickly hired.

The years I spent there were really good for me. I was new at this, so still had to get my feet underneath me and learn all the aspects of the trade. Experience is a wonderful thing and allowed me to make a better living and my job became a bit easier and more rewarding.

Was I still thinking about moving to Colorado? Yes, but I had settled into a comfortable life in Nebraska and all was well. I was even getting some golf in, and that’s when the next big thing happened.

While playing golf with a friend, he told me about a job opening for someone with my experience in Colorado. I jumped right on it, called about the job and I was quickly hired. It was life-changing for me and I couldn’t be happier. For the last 18 years I have been living the dream that began when I was 12. I am a Colorado resident living and working in the ski country year-round and grateful for every day here. By the way, business is great!

As it turned out, every moment I spent in Nebraska was necessary for me to build up the experience required for the Colorado offer. Even though I wasn’t actively looking for a position in Colorado, the job offer came to me within 6 months of my having the necessary skills to qualify. Once I was ready, my path was opened to me.

I was amazed at how it all came together, but after talking to Ken about manifesting and the book he wrote, it all makes perfect sense. Now I’m working on another idea, something else I would like to do and I’m going to make it happen by manifesting it.
