Is Your Attitude Slumping? Gratitude Creates Happiness. Here’s How

Antoinette wrote in to say:
“I want to add something about gratefulness. Being grateful has been instrumental in changing my view of past experiences. Being grateful for a (seemingly) bad experience can change the vibration of it. It takes a bit of work sometimes, but there’s always a Silver Lining.”

Thank you Antoinette! Your observation and experience is very important and worth going into further.

As Manifesting 1,2,3 and you don’t need #3 demonstrates, your thoughts are literally building form as you think it. Your ideas become the equivalent of stacking bricks, one brick at a time until something of substance results. This is a great gift, an amazing tool and we are equally empowered to use it.

Besides building things, what else can our thoughts do? Antoinette has learned that being grateful about past experiences, ‘good’ and ‘bad,’ has created a positive shift in the way she thinks and feels. Her decision to be grateful for past experiences created more peace and happiness in her everyday life. It was just that simple.

She could have viewed the events in her past in a fearful or negative way but she had a better idea. She rejected the negativity because she knew those repetitive thoughts create harmful outcomes: unhappiness and anxiety. Fear easily builds on itself, spiraling down into a life of gloom.

The differences in thinking are stark. Antoinette considered the bigger picture: some of the difficulties in her life were actually periods of great growth and wisdom. In hindsight, she recognized that those experiences had real value so she chose another viewpoint, to be grateful for what she learned.

Antoinette’s expressions of gratitude created happiness. In the book, Judy Goodman is quoted as recommending that we express seven grateful things everyday, and for good reason. Be grateful for the things in your present and for past events as well. Gratitude clears the field, allowing more of the good to flow to you.

Gratitude is a magnifier, one of the two great powers in creation, the other being fear. If you take a thought and combine it with love or fear, the thought will create a result  more powerfully and efficiently. Here’s more about that from the newsletter archive: Creation: Your Movie, Your Future and Gratitude

Where do you want your thoughts to take you?

One more note. Forgiveness is an act. It is also a powerful thought as next weeks newsletter will show. Miracles abound.
