Merrily Manifesting With the IRS
For too long I have been in the month-to-month, in the getting the bills paid cycle. It’s been a little squeaky this year but so far so good, right? I’m very grateful for that! However, the next few months were looking tight financially again. Happily (am I crazy?) April 15 was approaching so I put together my taxes and submitted them to my accountant. It’s a bit like walking up to a slot machine and putting your money in, hoping for a great result. My past history with the IRS typically means that I owe them a couple of thousand dollars. I got my return into the accountant a few days before the April 15 deadline. The office called and told me they were ready for me to pick up my return. I was a bit excited because something favorable could be in the air. I had no idea of what to expect because I had my usual year, a favorable one as an independent contractor, but my expenses were unusually high. It left me a very small income last year, but amazingly I made it through 2015 okay. I drove to the office and my accountant came out with the return. He was smiling and said “I’ve got great news for you. A lot of money is coming back to you in the amount of $10,000 from the federal government!” I was absolutely floored. He said, “That’s not all. You have another $6000 coming back from the state.” That seems impossible because nothing much happens with the state financially. I rarely get anything back from the state and only small amounts of money are involved. We just laughed and laughed and I kept saying, “Oh my God,” I don’t know how many times. That is a lot of money and it was what I needed to get my mind off the next few months. I’m ahead on the bills! I manifest every day and expect results. Guess what? A lot of good things come in but it never ceases to amaze me how the solutions appear. I remember that manifesting story from the newsletters a few months back. Regardless of the tough times in the past, put them in your rearview mirror. Don’t mess up the thing that you’re currently manifesting with worry. Well I apparently did a pretty good job manifesting and the finances are looking good going forward. Here’s that rearview mirror story It’s wonderful to catch a break and it’s nice to know that I had something to do with it! I’m not going to sit back, you had better believe that. I’ll continue to manifest every day and express my gratitude for what I have. Also I do what the book says, take actions on those worries and focus on manifesting the positives. I Got a Glimpse That Manifesting Works, Then I Nailed It!
Alicia writes: Shortly after my husband died, I took out a personal loan with my bank to pay for some badly needed repairs on the house. The amount of the loan was $15,000. About that time I saw the movie The Secret, which was a totally new concept to me. Later a webinar on a similar topic came to my attention and I listened to several talks. One in particular caught my attention. The speaker was a woman who had written a book on how to manifest money really quickly. I decided to give her method a try so I could pay off my loan. I did the writing exercises as directed, specifying how much money I wanted and exactly what I would use it for. I practiced it daily for some time and then kind of forgot about it when nothing seemed to happen. I continued paying off my loan with monthly payments, as much as I could afford each month. Then I noticed something funny about my loan statement when I looked at it online. There were 2 payments totaling almost exactly $15,000 that I could not account for. I certainly didn’t make those payments. How could that happen? The bank could not track down the source of the $15,000. She sent me to another branch office where I had taken out the loan and I talked to the banker who originally had processed the loan for me. She could not explain the 2 mysterious payments either. So she called a third banker at the national headquarters in their loan department and got no explanation. So three bankers could not find the source of the $15,000 and they all said they had never seen anything like it before. The last banker said if they could not trace the payments, the money would be mine within a specified amount time (which I don’t recall now). Well, they must have found the error, because the money disappeared from my loan account. Ouch! I continued to make payments and about that time, I came across Manifesting 123. I began to think that maybe I had been too detailed and worrisome, so instead of visualizing the amount of $15,000, I began instead to imagine how I would feel when the loan was paid off, since that was what I really wanted. I was comforted by the fact that $15,000 did magically appear earlier so it diminished my worry and fear. I began to use the really easy techniques in Manifesting 123, particularly the #2 regarding worry and fear. There was another helpful thing I picked up in the book, I asked that all these things in my future come with an Ease and a Grace. It was a great comfort and helped to lessen the ‘unknowns.’ Within a few weeks I received a call from a neighbor who wanted to know if I would like to sell my husband’s truck. Long story short, I did sell the truck and the amount we agreed on was $15,000! Everything worked out perfectly. It seems that one way or another, when I manifested what I desired it happened – twice! I love the idea of using less detail unless it is absolutely necessary and being in the future with my successful result. Oh yes, I didn’t forget my gratitude every day! Manifesting 123 really works! I am single, a shade over 50 (wink) and decided that if I’m going to create a richer life then it is up to me. I read your manifesting book and I was much encouraged by the possibilities it held. I also get the Manifesting 123 newsletter and it is something I look forward to every week. Reading about other people”s successes month after month was a big motivator. I began to manifest my wonderful, Norwegian trip with beautiful sights and remarkable experiences. Everything would happen smoothly and I would not be strapped financially to make it the perfect trip. Going to Norway had always been a dream trip I wanted to do with my mom, who was 100 percent Norwegian but died at age 51 and I had just turned 27. Her close-knit family would celebrate a marvelous Christmas smorgasbord together and it was wonderful hearing all of their stories through the years. So the long way of telling this, I dearly loved my mom and was so proud of my Norwegian heritage. It was time to make it happen. I subscribe to the Vesterheim Magazine, an American-Norwegian Museum in the beautiful little community of Decorah, IA. When I read through the magazine, low and behold, there was a beautiful two-page ad for a trip of western coastal Norway! I couldn’t believe my eyes and the serendipitous timing!!! So after a few weeks of working on the idea, I called the travel agent and inquired about my perfect trip to Norway. Thankfully, a very nice trip was within my budget, a cruise with a lot of onshore trips. The agent told me there were two possible dates: around the fourth of July and late August-September. I decided on the September date, working on a hunch that that would be the better time to go. The agent checked the date and said, “Oh sorry, the August-September trip just filled but there’s still space on the July cruise. Can I put you there?” Reluctantly I agreed because I wanted to see Norway that year. “Is there any way I can be put on a waiting list for the September trip?” I asked. She said she would but not to get my hopes up because people rarely cancel. Funny, but the more I thought about this, the more I wanted to be on that September cruise. A couple of weeks passed and I got a confirming email from my agent. It indicated I was booked for the September trip! I immediately called her and she told me that a couple swapped their September booking for July. The travel agent proudly told me that she saw the booking change and immediately and put me into the September cruise. I was elated at the outcome. It seemed very important for me to avoid the July trip. That cruise was everything I hoped for and more! What a beautiful part of the world. Everywhere I went I was met by kind and hospitable people. The cruise and staff were flawless and I spent my time there in joy and wonderment. About that July trip… later I met some people that were on that cruise. Their description of the trip was like night and day. Since these cruises have fewer people compared to those large Caribbean ships, the kind of passengers on the cruise with you make a huge difference. As it turns out, the July group was not as energized as my group was. They said their group really didn’t add much to the adventure but they enjoyed the cruise very much in their own way. This may not be a manifesting story of the miraculous kind but it was incredibly important that I do something wonderful for myself. What was manifested for me was a little slice of heaven, a perfection just for me. I came to the realization that yes, I deserve this, I’m allowed and can create more good things in my life. Overcoming Pain and Anger in the Past and Present

Angela sent in one of those amazing stories where things happen quickly. Pardon the pun, but there seems to be more than meets the eye here and Angela went right to work on it. Ken Angela writes: I found myself in a lot of pain. My eyes were really hurting me because I left my contact lenses in way too long. There was no question I was going to have to go to the doctor for this. Well, that wasn’t the only thing going on with me. For some months, I had been dealing with a lot of anger inside. I had really been put through the wringer with this. I could tell that even before the contact lens episode, my eyes were giving me problems in lock-step with my growing anger. I’m an intuitive and a healer, so message received and I went to work on healing and stopping the pain. I began to manifest that my eyes were immediately healing. I dealt directly with this sense of being hurt and angry. If this negativity is going to make me sick then I will let it go, so I think and manifest that I was free of this pain and fear. Having witnessed many times that prayers are very powerful, I said those as well. Then I went to the eye doctor. The doctor told me I had an ulcerated cornea with some lacerations. It was good that I came in quickly, he told me, because untreated corneal ulcers could lead to vision loss and even loss of the eye. Here’s the interesting thing. On the way to the eye doctor my pain greatly subsided and the stickiness in my eye was quickly diminishing. After examining me, the doctor was much surprised at how quickly I was recovering. He could see the evidence of the ulcerations and lacerations but indicated they were essentially healed. My earlier, painful symptoms certainly matched what he expected, but he was amazed that I was now in the clear and out of pain. Antibiotics are the norm in these cases with the treatment continuing over a period of days. Since my symptoms had cleared and my eyes were doing so well, he said that the usual antibiotics would not be necessary. “That’s one for the record books, We always have to use antibiotics.” he said. My eyes continued to stay healthy and that anger I carried around for so long is no longer a burden. I am healed of that as well. My manifesting and prayers worked wonders and quickly! My First Baby and I Needed Help Fast!
Life isn’t always easy for everyone and Anna Marie knows that well. When things got really hard, she would pray and also work to manifest solutions.Thank you for sending us your story today. Ken Anna Marie writes: I was 26, a young mother with my first baby. I was very much about being the very best mother I could be. I was living in Seattle, driving on the freeway in a unfamiliar part of town when suddenly my car just conked out. I had enough momentum to get it off the freeway safely, thank goodness. My one and a half year-old son was in his car seat and remained sound asleep. I had no idea where I was, stranded on a very busy freeway (before cell phones) and there’s very little I could do to help myself. I got out of the car and opened the hood – I had learned to do that as a signal of distress. I certainly was all of that. I got back into the car and said a prayer for God to send me a policeman or someone that could help! I definitely didn’t want to get out of the car and walk with my baby to a phone. I felt incredibly helpless, but thank goodness my baby continued to sleep. About 15 minutes had passed when I heard a motorcycle pulling up behind me. The rider, a young man with shoulder-length brown hair came to my car and asked if I needed some help. I told him I did and he suggested what we could do. “We’re going to walk down the side of the freeway here, away from traffic. Then we will go down this other little hill and I’ll get you to a phone. I know a couple that lives very close by.” I was struck by how kind he was. You just couldn’t mistake it, so I trusted him to make the trip. He said that he would carry the baby, put my dear son in his arms and off we went. When we got to the house, he knocked on the door and when the owners answered he told them my situation. The people in the house were very, very kind and glad to help me. I sat down and the young man put my still sleeping son down on the couch nearby. I looked up just a moment later and was gone. He never said goodbye or allowed me to thank him. I don’t remember if I asked the nice people if they knew the man. They did all act familiar together and they seemed very comfortable with each other. It was kind of strange because here I was in a house where I didn’t know anyone but I felt completely comfortable. My baby never woke up. I thought that was pretty amazing in retrospect. I have sometimes thought that maybe they were all angels. Either way, they all did what the angels would do and together, they quickly answered my prayer. I have learned that when I am in a jam, and I’ve been in a few, somehow things always work out for the asking. I’ve learned to be quick to ask and I wholeheartedly recommend that you do the same! I have also manifested a lot of things in my life after reading the Manifesting 123 book and some of those stores of been in this newsletter. All of this has lead me to feel more in control now. Manifesting Success: Is 51% Enough?
Have you ever stopped to evaluate the percentage of your positive versus negative thoughts in a day? Imagine that 51% of your thoughts are positive. That sounds pretty good but it also means that just about half of your thoughts are negative. Manifesting 123 describes how your thoughts actually take form – the negative and the positive ones. Here’s more about that from the newsletter archive: Creation: Your Movie, Your Future and Gratitude Gravity is a natural law and it doesn’t judge what you will use it for. Your thoughts behave like a natural law as well, creating what you think without judgment, ‘good’ or ‘bad.’ What to do? Well even the smallest shift from positive to negative will create good results, so let’s take the high road. How about stating seven grateful things every day? It can be the things you are grateful for now and even good things from our past. Here are some examples. You are grateful for your health, your friends and loved ones, shelter, that wonderful trip a few years back, all that you have learned, those happy times and more. Your grateful thoughts are literally creating more happy opportunities in your future. We can watch our words. Often we make serious or casual comments that have a negative slant. Your thoughts will create scenarios that reflect what you say, negative or positive. Don’t be concerned about a one-off comment, it’s the repeated thought that builds, like stacking bricks. Be aware of what you are building. If you’re feeing or expressing a lot of negativity in your life now, consider making a sizeable percentage shift to the positive. Even the small things count. How in the World Did I Get Here? By Asking! Part 2
Lee’s India story continues with some wonderful, personal insights. Read Part 1 here Ken Lee writes: It looks like I have a Part 2 story with my India trip. For whatever the reason, I felt pulled to take a spiritual trip there but my first priority was to bring in new work. I am a self-employed consultant and having just wrapped up my last project, it was necessary to find new work. Amazingly, I did get the next project (Part 1) and as a further surprise, it turned into full-time employment. Within three weeks I was representing my new employer in India! My prayers and manifesting regimens have been producing results. Now don’t get me wrong, I am so very grateful to be working in India, but it needed some tweaking. My first week on the job was very tiring and the hotel that was to be my home for a time wasn’t very good. The room, food and internet speeds were not great and I found myself grumbling. I understand that grumbles are thoughts that create scenarios so I changed course and declared that this trip is going to be a great success. I will make myself so valuable here my employer will want me to work with them forever. Walking the streets of India will gives one enormous perspective between the haves and have-nots. It also is very empowering. After evaluating how I came to be here, I realized how much personal and professional growth came my way. I found more gratitude, saw more lessons learned and understood that the ‘good’ and ‘bad’ experiences lately have been great gifts. Rather than accepting work being hard and having a substandard room, I decided to manifest change. I took action in two ways. I would go out of my way to better learn my new job and have a happy attitude with those I work with. Second, I would request a better room. In my manifesting, I was going for a great outcome. Things happened quickly. As I dove into my job with a positive attitude, I also took the role as someone learning the job, They appreciated my respectful and upbeat attitude and as a result I received a lot of help from the local staff. All of us had a more enjoyable time and the work didn’t seem as difficult. This shift of mine seemed to be working, so I called the hotel business manager about my room and he moved me to the executive floor. EVERYTHNG was much better, including the room service food! My temporary home was a real pleasure. All was working out, but I was still in India and hadn’t been able to visit any of the spiritual places that drew me here. There was only one weekend left and I declared that if I am to go to the Taj Mahal, then ‘they’ should make it happen. My last weekend there was a public holiday but we were all scheduled to work. That’s ok, I was not a grumbler anymore, so I didn’t mind. Then my business manager told me to take the weekend off anyway since the staff wouldn’t have any work for me to review until Monday. I was free to be the tourist at last! The business manager arranged a car and driver for me, a 5-hour drive to the Taj Mahal and important sights in between. It all worked out beautifully and I had the best guides on site to guide and teach me. I was generous in the way I paid and tipped all those on the the trip and on my return I was fully reimbursed for my entire adventure – a marvelous gift and a complete surprise! Looking back over the past few weeks, I can clearly see how everything I prayed and manifested for came to me with an ease and a grace, as the book says. Also, the positive actions I took on my arrival made my entire Indian trip, not just the tourist sites, the spiritual and fulfilling experience beyond my imagining. How in the World Did I Get Here? By Asking!
Asking + Manifesting + Multiple Choice = an interesting story. Thank you, Lee for sharing your adventure. Ken Lee writes: I live in Singapore and for a number of months now I’ve been thinking about taking a spiritual journey to India. I didn’t have a clear idea in mind, only that I wanted to go there for that reason. Well that went on the back burner when I had to start looking for my next freelance job! I’m all about manifesting so I went right to work on creating my next opportunity. Fortunately, I have a lot of contacts and great reviews so it’s just a matter of time, right? Like anyone else, I always have those nagging concerns between jobs though. … and India kept coming to mind. What is that about? I use manifesting and prayers to make things happen, so here was my prayer, “If you want me to work at my profession, bring it to me with an ease and a grace. Should you want me to start coaching and healing classes, bring the perfect plan to me fast. If you want me to go to India, please do the same with an ease and a grace, perfect, and quickly.” Two weeks later, the job search wasn’t going well despite my good efforts. Then I remembered something when I woke up. There was a company that was interested in me. It was a year ago, but I found the paperwork quickly, formulated a contact letter and emailed them immediately at 11 am. In just two hours I got a favorable reply. We met two days later and I had a job offer the next day. That’s fast! I took the offer but I really wanted a better package. I let the feelings of doubt go and decided to do my usual good job and a good raise would follow quickly. I was informed that my first task was to meet a client in two weeks. The location? India! This story isn’t finished yet. In a very short time, my company was impressed with my professionalism. They also realized this upcoming client meeting carried a large, global responsibility, so they put me on as full-time staff with an immediate raise and more benefits. That’s a Yay!!!! I’m writing you from India now. What a whirlwind, but a very good one. The funny thing was, I wanted to go India for my own spiritual development, not for work. Need it Just in Time? Pray for it or Manifest it Now!
Does manifesting work? Absolutely! Does prayer work? Yes! Is is always on time or in the form we expect? Not really. But sometimes manifesting or prayers come in right on time and exactly as we desire it. Here are a couple of great examples where two women went straight to prayer to solve a problem that needed a really quick resolution. Lynn writes: Have you ever needed that bill taken care of and had no idea where the money would come from? I was in that tough position recently. I had to come up with $500 in one day. Sure, I could borrow it but I wanted to take care of it myself and not kick the can down the road. What do you do? I know about Manifesting 123 and I’m a big fan but I wasn’t sure if it would be fast acting, like NOW. There is always prayer, so I put it out there and prayed for the $500. Two hours later a bundle of mail came with an envelope from the IRS. Oh boy, you never know when you see that letter if it will be good or bad news. I didn’t know what to expect but that envelope had to be opened. Inside was a check for $500! I was flabbergasted. It wasn’t a tax refund because it wasn’t that time of year. Turns out, there was some confusion on an older return in my favor for the amount of a few thousand dollars. For whatever the reason, they told me they would be months away from settling and sending that big check but they indicated that this $500.check was toward that larger payment. It made no sense at all to just send the $500 first, detaching it from the larger amount, but that answered my prayer on time and to the penny. Thank you so very much!! …and here is another story from Mary: I love my family but unfortunately, they are not close by. I really felt the pull to visit my granddaughter but it was going to require airfare and of course some spending money while I was there. Conservatively, the trip was going to require $1000 and it just wasn’t in the cards. I’m an artist and writer with an income stream that is easy to predict. My books showed that I didn’t have any money coming in from sales, so this $1000 would apparently take a miracle. I have never been bashful about launching prayers to get answers and solutions, so my prayer was to quickly get $1000 and with that request done, I went back to what I was doing. Things are pretty busy with me and I don’t get on the computer that often to check email or catch up with my social media sites. It was two days later before I had a moment to check my email. As I reviewed my incoming emails, something jumped out at me. Someone had made a purchase and I been sent an electronic payment for $1000. I couldn’t be happier! It was Exactly What I Asked For and the timing worked just fine. After the imaginary balloons and confetti dropped, it occurred to me that the payment could have happened in the same, or one day after my prayer request. Regardless, it was a marvelous gift and precisely what I requested. Sure it’s miraculous, but after you see as many successful results as I have, what do you call it then? I like what Ken says in the book, “Do you know the difference between a big miracle and a little one? Nothing.” I am a very grateful Mary! Let’s not be afraid or unworthy to ask.
