Favorite Stories from 2024

Throughout the year, it is such a gift and surprise to receive these stories from the readers of Manifesting 1,2,3 and you don’t need #3. I hope their experiences will encourage you to begin and continue with your current practices. As for the ice cream photo, yes, it’s a favorite and dear friends got me on that jag the night before… it’s getting closer!

I Didn’t Realize How I Manifested a Remarkable Gift to Myself!
Holly writes: I recently took an art workshop from Ken and toward the end of the weekend he asked each one of us, “Do you know where you want to go with your heart?” I decided on an artistic answer, that I wanted to exhibit my works, not really focusing on an income, but to get my artworks out there where people could see it and enjoy it. So what do think happened next?

After Two Negative Years, Manifesting the Opposite!
M. writes: Sometime back, my sister, K. was working at a compounding pharmacy in Texas. It’s where custom medications are made to fit the unique needs of patients that can’t be met with mass-produced products. It was an OK job and the bills were paid. Then a group from Colorado bought it in order to turn it into a sterile lab. She was then laid off and next, she got a horrible, just horrible job with somebody breathing down her neck all day.

She has a tendency to be negative so I jumped in and said, “Look, when you speak it, you’re bringing it to you. So you need to turn that around and you need to say that this is the job I want. Imagine yourself working in that large hospital you like that is 20 minutes away, not something with a one hour commute each way.” You will like the result she manifested.

Can I Manifest Something and Then Change My Mind for Happiness Sake?
Tim writes: In 2016 I had spent a lot of time in Africa, resulting in my being afflicted with a parasite for a time. I had to stop performing after 7 years and it gave me a lot of time to relax and find out who I was as a person without the performing arts career. The arts were a big part of my life and I realized that most of my friendships were from that field and particularly around singing.

I recall the day being in my bedroom and coming to the realization that I didn’t want to be known as a singer, that I just wanted to be known as a human. It was an aspirational thought but I soon regretted saying it. I put it this way and said it out loud, “I never want to sing again.” That statement, that command, ended my singing career. I stopped performing but the time off did help me find out who I was without the acclaim of others.

Many years later, in December 2023, I decided that singing was a valuable gift and a worthy part of who I am. I wanted to sing again, so I began to manifest that outcome in my meditations while also taking action, singing periodically in Sunday morning church settings – a good start.  Can you successfully change your mind?

Lost, in Trouble and Reaching Out with a Prayer
Mikaela Rae writes, I was living in Nashville, Tennessee, making a living as a singer. I was on the road at 6:30pm and it was dark during the rush hour. I had the radio on and this song, Why We Sing from Kirk Franklin came on: ‘I sing because I’m happy, I sing because I’m free, His eye is on the sparrow. That’s the reason why I sing.”

And I’m crying. I’m lost. I have no idea what I’m doing with my life or my career, and all of a sudden, my back left tire pops and goes flat. I got to an underpass and pulled over on the left side of the road near the fast lane. I sat there, feeling very depleted, very beaten and really, really lost.  I had just purchased new tires on my car, but no matter.  What am I going to do? This is before the convenience of cell phones.

I grabbed my keys, kept them in my hands, and decided just to walk up the highway and find a place to run across five lanes of rush hour traffic to get home. I quickly realized that would be impossible, a death wish. My walking path on the side of the highway was very narrow and spooky. It was then I realized that I was trapped in a bad situation. A remarkable solution presented itself!

It Bears Repeating… Add the NOW to Your Manifesting Practice
Earlier in May, 2024, I went over how some of my fellow artists were discussing manifesting and how we could use the idea of the Now to eliminate the annoying gaps that are common between art sales. So let me bring you up to date on what happened in the last two weeks, a personal experience of the artist / author Nancy Rynes and myself.

I had an internet radio interview about the Manifesting 1,2,3 book with Richard Dugan coming up and my thought was to try using the Now idea to create a fast sale of one of my paintings, and if the sale came through I would discuss it during the interview. I wanted the experiment to have a very short window to better illustrate that thoughts can act quickly with the Now idea.

So two days prior to the interview I repeated this simple thought, “A painting is selling NOW.” That was it. What was the result?

Manifesting and the Equivalents
First, let me begin with two points, simply stated. First, our coordinated thoughts with two people or larger have great power. Never underestimate what two or more people can create together. Peace in the family? World peace anyone?

Also, we have another power and it is one that has the ability to improve how we feel in the worst of situations. It is gratitude. There is always something to be grateful for and when we are in a grateful place, not only do we feel better but by example, we can lift the spirits of others.
Let me start by saying it is human nature to limit ourselves but our thoughts are not limited at all. Everything in our world, unless it occurred naturally, was likely formed first by the thought of someone or by a group working together. Also, we often fall into the tendency to have singular goals with only one way to achieve it. Let’s open things up, way up.

Something that is often missed in our creative endeavors is the concept of equivalent outcomes. We will often score our manifesting success by the ability to buy the thing we are manifesting but there are far more positive possibilities beyond making a material purchase.  Read on for important examples

Getting a Hunch May be an Opportunity to Ask. Why Not?
L. F. writes: My son was going to a on a weekend bachelor / bachelorette party, weekend fest and there would be fun with drinking and swimming. He is not a strong swimmer and I was worried about him.

I sent him a text saying that if at any point you want to come home, I’ll get you because he’s without a car. He texted me back saying that he felt like there was something behind my text. “What are you not telling me?” he asked.

I got stuck trying to give him an answer. I had a bad feeling about the trip but as a mom you just have to get out of the way sometimes. So I just said that I wanted him to have a great time. I couldn’t pinpoint, it but I felt he was in danger. After our texting, I called out for help, “Please, protect my son, protect them all this weekend.” I felt so strongly that he was in danger and sure enough, he was. The Little Cafe That Could with Impeccable Timing on the Menu
Stu writes: All those many years I envisioned this in my head. I saw it.. café in Santa Fe on Canyon Road, Santa Fe, N.M., a well-known street lined with galleries. It has been a dream of mine to do just this and in this very location for a very long time.

It was in Santa Fe where I met my wife, Dominique in 2000. We married and I took her away for a time, and in some of those years, Dominique was running her gallery on Canyon Rd. I was commuting back and forth to Santa Fe while running some very big restaurants during those years in Florida: Miami, Naples, Sarasota and another near Dallas, Texas. These were big operations, $8 – $10 million a year restaurants.

I every time I was back with Dominique on Canyon Road I always thought about that small, unused spot that could be perfect for a small cafe but I never was ready… until recently. Find out how it all came together!

There Are Ups and Downs But There Are Also Gratitudes, Prayers and Manifesting
L. writes: Every morning I write down the things that I am thankful and grateful for in my life when I have my morning coffee and oatmeal. I am very big on gratitude and manifesting! Each day I write down what I am thankful for on a large monthly calendar book called the Smart Daily Planner.
I include people, animals and then the things that I will be doing that day. At the end of the week I look at how I achieved things, asking these questions.  What were the big wins and what more did I need to work on?  I also note the things I am actively manifesting so that later, I can actually go back and tell myself the exact day that all these things occurred.

I know it sounds funny, but this process is very useful and encouraging for me… and it works! They have a few quotes in the book to give you encouragement.  I love this quote from John Muir, “The power of imagination makes us infinite.”

In quick order, L. and her husband lost the lease to their comfortable home and L.’s beloved horse died. Find out how she used her manifesting regimen to put their lives back together.

A Terrible Illness, Information is Lacking and Our Only Option is Prayer
M. writes: My husband got seriously sick and ended up in the hospital. I had found him on the ground beside his truck and he couldn’t get up. He had his phone in the truck but he was too weak to reach it, and he had been laying there for a good two hours.

Once in the hospital, he was in and out of consciousness and was often disoriented for the first two days. It was determined that he had some kind of infection. The doctors did all kinds of testing but couldn’t find the source of his illness. All the while I was communicating with my friends and a lot of prayers were going out.  Read on about a sudden piece of information that saved his life.

Positive Outcomes from Forgiving and Receiving
An artist, Charles writes: I really like how this turned out. It came from two separate things I did but the result was essentially the same. Each event was about money, it’s real value and forgiveness.

The first instance was a painting I sold years ago and allowed my friend to pay it out on time. Paying it back wasn’t easy for her to do and after many years of her chipping away at it, there was a $300 balance. It was a painting I was really proud of, a water scene and I was happy she wanted it for her home. I recently contacted her and told her to forget the balance… she had been in a difficult year.
Another example was a forgiven loan to a friend that was widowed. What follows are the surprising and  profitable results that occurred.
